We are very sorry for wath we read. Our guest maybe forget that the weather was very bad and we were without phones too. We called many times to Tim and Telcom that night but no way to make something. We had a dinner with a very big group and we were very busy with them, sorry if we don't... More

Stayed here over New Year's for 5 nights. Every night around 9PM the heat was turned off until 7AM, with the exception of New Years Eve, when I think the owners were around. When we tried to communicate this to the staff, he just shrugged. The inn keeper does not speak any English. The room, stark as everyone has described.... More

This little convent is perfectly situated just outside the city's walls and down a couple blocks below the main square. I wanted to save a few Euros -- and did -- as my wife and I paid a mere 60 Euros for one night -- as inexpensive as a room can be in Italy. It was clean and safe but... More

We drove for about 10 minutes before we could find this convent hotel -- go further down the hill from the town and there it was. But, if you want a "cool" experience (both literally and figuratively) stay here. Our room was cold but the extra wool blankets in the armoire were there to help. It was easy to see... More

We spent a total of five nights over seven at Casa Betania, (there were six of us in three rooms). We all loved this hotel, the rooms were a little unusual which we all found adorable. They were spotlessly clean which was first and foremost in our minds. The staff went beyond the call of duty for us, helping to... More

Casa Betania is a great value in an expensive tourist spot. The view from the terrace is wonderful, and the location is close to the center of the city. That said, we endured several *very* hot nights, and a fan would have been HUGELY appreciated. There's no air circulation and its pretty impossible to sleep when its 95+ degrees. We... More

This place is a good choice if you want cheap. Beyond that, it is nothing special. The rooms are cold (both in temperature and charm), the staff was a little difficult, and the rooms are a bit bare. For the price, however, I'd stay here again. The place was clean, the rooms were adequate, and the community terrace was beautiful.... More

I feel bad because we had very high hopes for this budget accommodation. The outer appearance of the B&B and the location are excellent – just a short walk to the center of Cortona, and the staff was nice and very helpful. However, I am unable to recommend Casa Betania for the following reasons: the lobby smelled (strong cigarette smell?);... More

We are very sorry not beeing able to fullfill the hopes of this kind guest. We understand that the main issues were related to other guests behaviours. We strongly reccomend our dear guests to avoid smoking in both common areas as well as in the rooms. Unfortunately, sometimes there are customers who do not follow our suggestions. In any case,... Please bear in my mind that this hotel is a former convent and, thus, lacks luxury; however, it proved to be an excellent choice for myself and my two friends. The staff does not speak a lot of English, but they did understand enough to help us rent a car and get cab service, They were warm and attempted to... More
