If you have found that wonderful place to enjoy your summer holiday, your first reaction could be not to share your secret with others. But that wouldn't be just to the family who runs this fantastic small estate. We stayed here for the 2nd time in one of the large appartments with our children for one week. Large, tastefull and... We spent a week here recently and couldn't fault the place. Run as a family concern everyone was really welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious with a modern en suite. Views were lovely overlooking the garden and fields of sunflowers towards the pretty hilltop town of Cortona. The food was excellent and mostly eaten outside in the garden, (except... More

We spent a week here recently with family in one of their lovely roomy apartments. Other than the showers (running hot and cold) and blowing a fuse (by turning the oven on at the same time as 2 hot plates) we were really happy with the accommodation. Our meal on the first night was eaten at the onsite restaurant. It... More

This Agriturisimo was absolutely one of the most charming, authentic places we have ever stayed at in Tuscany. We had a beautiful suite which was like having your own apartment and even had a separate entrance which was nice. The people there were so attentive and nice, anything you needed they made sure to get it for you. Beautiful grounds... More

Wow! What a place to stay! We hire an apartment for a week - it was huge. Hotel run by a local family but very professional. Everyone most welcoming and helpful. Meals were amazing - best in all of Italy! Children made to feel very welcome. Great base location to visit the rest of Central Italy. Can't wait to visit... More

This is a wonderful place if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of a city or town. It is a place that caters for a wide range of people from adults to families to those on a honeymoon. Our apartment included access to a balcony overlooking the fields which had just been planted and provided us with a... More

Le Terre Dei Cavalieri has been a delight. Huge spaces in room and ensuite. Large sitting cum dining kitchen shared with one other room. Staff friendly and helpful always giving that little bit extra. Thoroughly recommend if you want the true Tuscan experience.

We stayed three nights. The room was great, large and spoiling. Breakfest and dinners were tasty. Rates are fare. Neighborhood is excellent. A perfect place for all- adults, families, honey moon etc. Thankyou all for great hospitality.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our estate consists of a Farmhouse and a Leopoldina built in the 18th century during the extensive reclamation of the Valdichiana by the Grand Dukes of Tuscan. In times past they belonged to the Order of the Knights of St. Stephen and Malta. The Order used to protect the ancient Grand Ducal Farm of Creti and S. Caterina. The restoration of these buildings required some years of works during which the old “cocciopesto” plaster was restablished, walls with the natural stuccoed pigments were painted and where the structure of the fireplaces wee left unchanged, vaults of the old stable were empty and strengthened, columns which define the countryside were stuccoed.Today we can offer you this unique place to enjoy an intense and unrepeatable experience, making you feel part of an environment where things have remained unchanged and the past seems to be brought back to life everyday in its charm and character. You will be able to dine in a kitchen that used to accommodate over thirty people at a time, sleep in the bedroom converted from the old cattle shed where farmers used to spend sleepless nights watching over their cows delivering their calves, sleep in the “tracantone” bed, sleep in the bedroom located in the Loggia or in the bedroom converted from the old dove-tower, a shelter where doves were bred by farmers. Fireplaces will tell you and remind you of stories that were told gathering around them in the cold winter nights.Walls are decorated with paintings and pictures that will explain you old piece of life and tradition. The best images you will be able to behold will come, as if by magic, from the windows opening onto stunning natural settings such as the dark mountains hanging over Cortona, the sweet and seamless country-side and the noble profile of Cortona.Unique observation, scenes and tastes of true peasant life, a restful and relaxing effect, wealth of details interpreting the sense of place.Looking forward to having you here to discover many more things that words can not describe we would like to make a wish: that knocking on our door you may call beauty by its name. ... more   less
