Rooms were beautiful and quiet. The B&B was perched on a curve on Via Leonardo da Vinci, 55, furnished with family heirlooms and tended by a gracious widow, Alena. It was ideal for us, located between the town of Taormina and Castelmola. We hiked to Ristorante al Saraceno di Alfio Puglia, Via Madonna Rocca, 16/18, Castemola, for two splendid dinners.... More

This was my second stay at Villa Sara, and I'll be going back this year. I always finish my Sicily-trips in Taormina, because I like the atmosphere in the town and I like having dinner in Castelmola, a small town uphill. But about the hotel: be careful, it is quite a long and steep walk from the city center. So... More

We stayed here during 2010 and our experience was great. The views were spectacular and the host was extremely hospitable and caring. Despite the fact that she doesn't speak too much English, we had no trouble in communicating our needs and requirements with her and she takes very good care of her guests. The rooms are spacious and homely with... More

We stayed at the Villa Sara in a standard double room with no balcony and basic it was!!! Villa Sara is situated on the top of a hill on Via Leonada da Vinci with great views overlooking Taormina and Mt Etna. It is a long walk down the steep steps to town -10 mins down & 15 - 20mins going... More

Excellent location, very clean, great breakfast, great view, very nice staff ... quite difficult to climb every day, but worth it for health, great view and servicies quality. Is a superb location for a honeymoon couple or a group of 3 families. Recommend with pleasure !

If you get the chance, stay here! Villa Sara is located within a grand home, perched high in the hills of Taormina overlooking Mount Etna and the Mediterranean sea. The rooms are very spacious and each has a private balcony. There are many steps from the entrance to the rooms (4 flights?), so caution to those have any limitations. There... More

villa sara is a really special place. it is a beautiful privet house, who belongs to Mrs Elena, an extremely nice old lady who runs the place. the B&b has only 3 big rooms, with beautiful old furniture and a big balcony with great view of Taormina and beach. Mrs Elena makes a great personal breakfast to every guest by... More

We stayed at Villa Sara early June 2014 and loved it! Stunning views, large rooms and most generous hostess. We travelled with another couple and were able to park in the garage. Roads narrow and a bit of a challenge, but added to the experience! Senora Manfrida was a delightful hostess. We easily walked up and down the steep walk... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Terrifying drive up round hairpin bends. There's parking on the road although daunting at first, we got used to it. Rewarded by friendly welcome by Elena the B&B host and most fantastic views from room and room terrace of Etna and coastline!! Table and chairs on large terrace to sit, relax and admire views. Especially after... More

Considering Taormina is such a rip off, this place is fantastic value for money. We had a lovely room with a huge balcony overlooking Etna. The location at first seems a bit high up but actually there are steps down to the main centre and it's not really a hike back up or that time consuming. Plus it's nice to... More
