Having just returned from Sicily I can't recommend Villa Taormina highly enough. Perfectly situated just few steps away from the main street, with 8 rooms only, the villa has more of a feel of an aristocratic home rather than a hotel. Gorgeous period design and attention to detail, from original art everywhere to Etro bathroom amenities, charming terrace with magnificent... More

Fabulous furnishings, helpful staff, and a bijou balcony overlooking bouganvillea clad walls and medieval buildings. All very beautiful. But the bathroom was a disaster.. leaking shower which spilled water over the marble floor and was still not fixed after several days of reporting the fault. No bar either, in which to enjoy a relaxed glass of wine, nor a kettle... More

My husband and I stayed here from 1st to 9th July after having stayed last year. We were not disappointed on our return, the hotel was as beautiful and elegant as we remembered. The delightful owner Rosalie and her staff Elena, Claudio and Daniella made us most welcome and tended to our every whim and need. It really does feel... More

Beautiful small hotel/ B & B in a great location in Taormina. Villa Taormina was originally bought as the owners home, then converted into a hotel - so it is small enough to be quaint and homey (a welcome relief after a harrowing drive into Taormina) but large enough for privacy. The hotel is beautifully decorated with period pieces and... More

This place is incredible! We absolutely loved everything about it. The breakfast was great and we are missing it already. The children thought the place was 'a palace'. Although we did have children, they were quiet and it's not really aimed at children. It is a beautiful hotel and would make the perfect romantic getaway. It is situated just off... More

We have just returned from a 3 day break to Taormina to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary. We stayed in this small hotel and just loved it. We were glad that we had asked the hotel to arrange the airport transfer because the cab was able to take us right there whereas on other cab journey's during our stay the... More

The rooms in the small hotel (only 8 rooms) are beautifully and individually furnished - far better than in a chain hotel. Some of the rooms at the back have their own patio. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the main shopping street and the restaurants. Breakfast ( a rooftop buffet with views to the sea... More

The building is lovely, gorgeously decorated, staff very pleasant. Quality breakfast on the rooftop terrace with lots of selection. We didn't even have a very big room or a view or anything and still enjoyed it. Probably some of the charm of the town rubbed off on the hotel, but I would for sure stay there again. You don't end... This Villa had been a private home at one time and was acquired by Rosalie Gerber, a French born and her Sicilian husband. They decided to make it into a small hotel and substantially refurbished everything, while maintaining the original marble floors in the main lobby area. There are 7 rooms, nicely decorated and reasonably large for European standards. The... More
