No doubt the views are spectacular, the staff were attentive and friendly. The rooms are dated, the plumbing ancient, the breakfast average and boring. Breakfast coffee was awful. Bring a kettle as no facilities in the rooms. We only ate dinner once and the food was unimaginative and for 35 euros each, not good value for money, they didn't even... More

Stayed here for a week at the start of August. Picked because of the view. Certainly not disappointed with that. Great terrace and views. This hotel though is not worth 4 stars. I previously stayed at the 4 star Monte Tauro Hotel and this was like chalk and cheese. The breakfast was basic but adequate but again not a patch... More

We stayed there for 1 week. The location is very good with wonderful views over Taormina, you can even see Mt. Etna erupting in the evenings. Staff was polite but didn´t mention anything but basic information about hotel services. Room didn´t have any welcome/hotel-info at all. Elevator really narrow and slow. We had a room with balcony and great views.Balcony... More

As the title suggests, the view from this hotel is amazing. Our room was not one with a view (it actually looked onto someone else's pool so we couldn't even open our blind) and we felt like we missed out as a result. The room was old fashioned but spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very basic and the exact... More

Old fashioned hotel that led to the charm of it. Comfortable bed with great views of Mount Etna & the bay from bedroom window, but inadequate electric plugs in room. Situated on a hill but only 5 mins walk to centre although by steep steps. Lift a bit small & not for those who are claustrophobic, Breakfast adequate but same... More

The Mediterranee is superbly situated. A 5 minute walk from the town and the view from the terrace is spectacular: Mount Etna and the bay. Very clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. My room was more than adequate, the pool was great and when I wanted to go to the sea there was a shuttle from the... More

The hotel is slightly dated but this only adds to the charm. We stayed half board and as most guests were bed and breakfast, we had excellent service for our evening meals. There was a choice of 4 starters and 4 main meals and whilst the quantity of the main meal was not great, the quality was excellent. They also catered... More

Amazing views. Ah-Maze-ing! Very good service and on-site parking (sorry, folks, it isn't "free" - it is "included in the price"). I imagine that in the Dolce Vida era, this was a gem, with its amazing views... but I don't think that anything has been updated since then. Fortunately, we were just there to sleep and the bed was perfectly... More

All rooms have large sunny balconies with sea view so everyone gets the same fantastic view of the coastline and Mount Etna. The staff were excellent - friendly and always offered to help. Free car parking is a bonus as not many Taormina hotels have this and only 5 minutes from the town centre. Sure, the furniture and fittings are... More

How is possible that this hotel is rated as 4 stars hotel. 2+ is the correct one. Everything is old ,old , better not to tough so things will not go apart. Bathroom is for the people who prefer parfume then shower. Kitchen towels in the bathroom are not right placed. Poor brekfest, but the view from the hotel quite... More
