I have visited Taormina a number of times and always stayed in different hotels. Grand San Pietro is unfortunately a little out of town however it is a nice 15 min walk through the gardens to the town. We stayed with some relatives who were less able to walk so they took full advantage of the hotels shuttle. The hotel... More

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Comfortable but not elaborate rooms. Pleasant staff but exceptionally rigid. Comfortable bed and good linens Hand towels were a joke! Looked like a dish cloth. The fitness centre is tiny and needs the machines to be serviced I.e those that did work. Airconditioning was not great Pool area is beautiful. Breakfast lacks a... More

Decent hotel however strange smell in passages with stains on carpets in passage. Rooms nice but Nothing exceptional The staff staff are not very friendly and the hotel has a strict regimental feel to it. - from being forced to book the free shuttle to town which only goes to town in the hour and only at specific times of... Recently returned from 10 night stay with two teenage children - we absolutely loved this hotel for its kind hospitable staff, gorgeous food and beautiful gardens. The hotel is the perfect size and is located close enough to the facilities of Taormina to reach the pedestrianised area, restaurants & bus station within 10 minutes, albeit uphill on the way. The... Best hotel in Taormina! Make sure to get a room with a view and terrace, absolutely worth it. Pool is great with waiter service, shuttle to the beach is very convenient, breakfast is one of the best I had in Italy. Walking distance to the city centre for restaurants and shopping. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Overall highly recommend!

We stayed here for a wedding in another venue for a friends wedding. Hotel is beautiful and about 15 mins from centre. We would not return as the kids were enjoying themselves in the pool and the do called wedding planner said they were too noisy. Suggest the hotel either makes it an adult only hotel or explains to guests... More

My Wife and I spent a vacation of 6 nights at Grand Hotel San Pietro. we stayed in the Superior room at the 4th floor. We found the 5 stars hotel online and did not know what to expect out of it. When we got there the first time, we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was quiet and clean and... More

The hotel is lovely and was once very grand, but compared to other 5-star and Relais & Chateaux, there are improvements needed. We were provided with one flimsy bath towel per person, and dish cloths that served no purpose. The shower was a relic and the water quality was poor. We were provided one small bottle of water upon arrival,... More

We had a sweat welcoming on our arrival, an approach unfortunately not significant from the rest of our days. The hotel suffers from a faded charm and have some attitude adjustments that are needed for some of the hotel staff. Not all, that would be unfair to say. There was a really sweat younger, a bit blond woman working in... More

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Hotel San Pietro for four nights in early June and we enjoyed our visit. The hotel is close enough to the center of Taormina to enable a relaxed walk if you don't mind walking up or down hill, though we did take advantage of the complimentary hourly shuttle service a few times....
