Booked Hotel through Booking.com. First thing to know is that if you take a car Roberto has got 7 car parking spaces available at a cost of 9 euros per day, very reasonable. We were here just before Easter, do not know how busy this hotel gets in high summer, but we never had any problem getting a space. Taormina... More

Enjoyed our 6 night stay in The Soleado. It's comfortable, clean, about 5 mins good walk to Porta Messina (the start of Corso Umberto) and with great hosts - Roberto and his lovely wife are welcoming and extremely helpful. We had a lateral sea view room No. 30 which was fine, but if I was to return I would probably... More

Warm Welcoming Family Run Hotel. Well located few minutes walk away from pedestrianised area of town. Excellent varied breakfast. Small swimming pool in summer. Good value small bar area including outdoors terrace for drink in afternoon/evening. Spotless rooms and limited parking also available. Free Wifi in reception/bar area. Owners could not be nicer. Difficult to understand why hotel only has... More

This might be a mere two stars, but what it lacks in luxury, it certainly makes up for that in friendliness, helpfulness and service. It's not expensive, either. The rooms are reasonably comfortable, and all, I think, have balconies with a table and a couple of chairs, so one can sit and admire the fantastic lightning shows out to sea.... More

We stayed here in August 2013 and were very impressed. The hotel is run by a family who are all friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious (perhaps a little outdated) with a view of the ocean. Short walk to the town centre. Great hotel for 2 star rating and would stay again.

Just returned from a trip to Sicily. Great experience! One of the best things though was our experience at the Hotel Soleado in Taormina. Roberto, our host, made our stay feel like a weekend with family. His toughtful service and excellent attention to detail gave us the feeling of being pampered guests in a family home. The hotel's location is... More

We stayed in Hotel Soleado for 10 days in mid September and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for relaxation, peace and quiet. The friendly staff who were very helpful and seemed to genuinely want us to have a good time was an added bonus. Roberto and his lovely wife Rosetta were just brilliant as were the whole... More

This was the perfect place to stay in Taormina, away from the noise and traffic of the centre, but within easy walking distance. The hotel is set in the side of a hill, with the reception at the top and the pool at the bottom. Roberto, the manager, and his family are very welcoming and were willing to help with... More

A family run hotel where Roberto is the capo famiglia. No luxury but enough space, a good shower and good beds. Good price/quality. Excellent buffet breakfast. In walking distance (5 minutes) from the Porta Messina (one of the 2 entrances to the old town of Taormina) and the large shopping street. Quiet airco but no fridge in room.
