The two of us (early 70s) stayed here in mid-June 2014 for a week. The hotel is very handily placed for the Corso Umberto, the main street in Taormina. We had a large, comfortable room with a small balcony overlooking Etna, a good-sized and well appointed en-suite, and welcome, unobtrusive air conditioning. It was very clean and well maintained throughout... More

Just back from a lovely stay in Excelsior Palace hotel and have to say we had a lovely relaxing time in Taormina. Location of hotel is excellent and the pool area is really lovely in fact the best bit of the hotel .The decor in the room was dated but the bed was very comfortable pillows were bad however. Breakfast... More

We stayed for a week in August. The staff were excellent and helpful throughout. The room had an excellent view of Etna. I don't think it would be worth booking a room with a balcony as they only have space for two seats! Despite what the booking info said there was air con which was needed! The room was fine... More

Ours was a short but perfect stay, 3 nights in Taormina to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is perfectly located at one end of the main shopping street in Taormina. Here you will find wonderful restaurants and shops, ice cream parlours and bustling evening entertainment. Our room looked out over both the bay and Mount Etna, a perfect place for... More

The hotel is at the end of the main strip in Taormina. It is quiet and well kept. Just outside the front door is a patio where we sat at night, had a drink, and watched the Volcano erupt every night. The parking garage is next door, but we didn't use it. We had a room on the first floor... More

We had a two week stay and had a wonderful time in this hotel, which is ideally located. My wife forgot to bring her hair straighteners. A major catastrophe akin to losing your passport, credit cards and euros combined but the reception staff gave advice, support and counselling and we managed to purchase some in the beautiful town, where every... Best call for a family visit to Taormina - due to location just outside Catania gate at the very start of the great walking street. Best views of a glowing and erupting Mt. Etna. Sure the bathrooms are a bit old style but clean and well maintained and the service is superb. (We have stayed at the Domenico and Capo... More

This is the first hotel at the start of the main high street. It has a great location being on the same level as the night life (many hotels are down or uphill) so no big climbs on foot, and quiet at night. Being the first it has the best view of Etna with outdoor bar terrace. The staff are... More

We had a amazing holiday in Taormina staying at the lovely Excelsior Palace hotel which is literally a 2 minute walk from the main restaurant / shop thorough fare. We where on holiday with our adult daughters and they where equally enthralled with the town and hotel. The hotel pool is a little distance from the hotel down a number... More

Lovely authentic Sicilian Hotel in prime location literally 3 mins walk from all the cobbled streets with shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were really helpful especially the waiters as we were vegetarian and they went out of their way to cook us different items to the menu on most nights. The food was great, we had breakfast and evening... More
