Stayed for a week. Our room was on the level below the breakfast room and had a lovely patio with sun beds and a table and two chairs. There was an adjustable awning to hive us shade. We didn't miss having a pool as there were minibus trips to the beach and the room was well air conditioned. Breakfast was... More

We travelled to Taormina two years ago and stayed here, When we decided to get married in Taormina we booked this hotel once more. On both occasions we were give one of the rooms with the large balcony and one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen - the toe of Italy, the Med, Giardini-Naxos bay and Mt... More

A few minutes walk from the crowded center of Taormina, this is an oasis of peace and relaxation. Bel Soggiorno has old-type style, the owners and staff are doing an outstanding job in making you feel at home, including giving regular piano concertos every afternoon at 5 pm. And every Friday there is dinner followed by a concert with staff... More

Hands down the most beautiful hotel I've ever had the pleasure to stay in. On a terraced hillside (cliff really) overlooking the sea. The rooms are well maintained but dated. No matter - the decor style adds to the charm in my opinion. We stayed in Room 28 which is a corner room and the terrace offers a sea view... More

This hotel is in a lovely location with amazing views of Mt Etna and the coastline. The gardens are well tended with lots of colourful plants surrounding the terrace. The staff are really friendly and helpful and Sebastiano was always smiling. The building itself is very pretty set into the hillside. Rooms are quite basic but airy and perfectly functional... Best for adults as nothing for children at this hotel,it's old fashion but quaint the service is second to none as its small. The views are fantastic of Etna and the coast, very pretty with the terrace gardens and patios to sit with a cold glass of wine/beer.There are no frills with this hotel but it has its own charm,of old Italy.The... Congratulations. You made the right choice. The staff. The view. The room. The decor. The breakfast. The private patio/balcony. The hidden quiet spots. The garden. Superb. A tip: don't walk up the road into town; turn left and then right up the steps; it saves 15 mins and is safer.

The hotel was quite sufficient & pleasant. Our room was large, walking into a lounge area first, then up a step into the bedroom. The bathroom was the room behind that again, & also very large. Great sized shower. But no tissues supplied!! (A small thing perhaps, but I find makes a big difference if they are missing!) There were... More

This is a really pretty, traditional hotel with stunning views of the sea and Mount Etna from everywhere. A grand Edwardian building that it a bit tatty around the edges, as it should be, it is perfect if you like a bit of shabby chic, but no good for those who want everything shiny and space-age. Peaceful location and about... More

Loved the fact that this hotel was tranquil, full of character and in a lovely location. All staff were extremely friendly especially Sebastiano. We loved the Sicilian Dinner which was great value and delicious, enhanced by the staff entertaining us afterwards on piano and guitar. Our only disappointment was that this great event only took place once over the week-more please! It... More
