Wonderful old, typically Italian building and Art Deco decor. Family suite with mezzanine room for 2nd bedroom, loads of character, great WiFi, breakfast and staff. The views of the ocean below from the terrace and garden are fantastic, French doors open from the room. And you can see Mt. Etna from the end of the balcony. Friendly hotel, very clean,... More

This is a lovely hotel that oozes charm and character. The hotel itself is positioned on the hillside with terraced gardens and 180 degree views over the sea and bay from the beautiful breakfast room. Mount Etna is visible from the terrace and each day we observed the changes in her. The hotel is in a good position half way... More

The Bel Soggiorno has so much going for it, for starters the views are fabulous and the hotel has heaps of character. Our room was a decent size, spotlessly clean, its terrace large and the a/c relatively quiet. Car parking is free and the walk up to Taormina fairly short. Staff are friendly and the continental breakfast fine. The shower... More

I have no hesitation in giving this hotel a 5 star rating. It is beautiful and the views are stunning. The rooms are well appointed and kept spotlessly clean. There is no restaurant so trips into town for meals are required but there are so many excellent restaurants in Taormina that it isn't an issue. You do get a continental... More

Just returned from fabulous week stay at Bel Soggiorno. We were two couples and had rooms next to each other with terraces overlooking the Ionian Sea, beautiful to wake up to every morning. The weather was unseasonably hot but no complaints there except we packed the wrong stuff! Hotel staff were great, in particular Sebastiano who is lovely. A nice... More

Just got back after a week here,The views are stunning, our room was spacious, with huge arched ceiling.and an enormous shower . The breakfast area is beautiful. There is a walk up to Toarmina, but it isnt that far. There are steps down to Isla la Bela (632 to be exact).. I loved the hotel, it had a lot of old... More

This is a lovely hotel, very, very quiet. Most of the Thompson booked rooms are basic, but comfy and clean. They have hair dryers, safes, air conditioning, are thoroughly cleaned each day, there are no tea/coffee making facilities. All have great views. The top floor rooms, on the same level as reception, have individual juliet balconies. All others have shared... More

We stayed here for two weeks in September. This is an old but lovely hotel with a slightly faded, classical feel to it. The rooms varied a lot and some people did grumble about theirs. However, we had a beautiful room comprising a lovely corner terrace with climbing bougainvillea, sun loungers and table and chairs. Inside we had a sitting... More

Just back from a week at this hotel. The view from our room was beautiful without doubt but found the actual facilities fairly basic. The shower was feeble and most of the time the water was lukewarm. Breakfast was repetitive and plain. However, the room was very clean and comfortable. The reception staff could have been a little more friendly... More

We had a a very sweet, simple comfortable room, air-conditioned, white wall terracotta floor style. As well as having a balcony on the sea front with a view of Etna, we also had a small living room level which was very nice. The hotel is a 15 euro, 5 minute taxi ride from the train station, and a 10 minute... More
