I have stayed at Villa Astoria for 4 days. The owner Mauro is fluent in English, is very helpful and knows surroundings very well. My travel buddy cancelled the trip just 2 days before and I couldnt cancel the reservation. Due to that fact Mauro arranged a discount. Good breakfast and very friendly people. I would definitely recommed my friends... More

We stayed at this welcoming inn for 3 nights at the end of September. We were fortunate enough to have reserved a room with a sea view, and were happy to find that it had a little balcony from which to enjoy the extraordinary view of the hills as well as the sea. Mauro and his wife are friendly, charming,... More

We loved the location having arrived by bus. It is literally opposite the station. However, even with double glazing it is noisy ! We had a room overlooking he street and would strongly r commend to request sea view. Service is fine, breakfast ok, beds fairly creaky. If you are coming to Taormina by public transport this is a very... More

We had 3 enjoyable nights at Villa Astoria It was raining very hard one night while we were there and we enjoyed visiting with Mauro. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants. His breakfasts were delicious and it was convenient to walk from here to the main streets of Taormina. The rooms were simple but clean and the bathroom had... More

Villa Astoria was excellent! Stayed here for one week while attending a conference in Taormina, September, 2013. My room was large, very clean, with terrific internet access. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Particularly, they recommended non-touristy restaurants which were great, and really enhanced my visit. The people at Villa Astoria were lovely, and I would absolutely gives this... More

I stayed at Villa Astoria for a week while at a conference. This may not be the most luxurious hotel in Taormina, but is must be the most hospitable. Mauro, the owner, was super helpful with dinner & drinks suggestions, getting taxis (and retrieving a receipt I initially forgot) and so on.

We were traveling around Sicily for two weeks and booked five different B&Bs and those 4 nights we spend in Villa Astoria were absolutely the best. Fantastic location close to lovely restaurants and fantastic vine bar..., cable car which leads you to the beach just few steps away, delicious breakfast including ham, cheese, fruit and nice coffee and what's the... What an amazing stay we have had in this Villa / B&B. Service was more than great and we had a nice room with a small balcony at the front of the hotel. You can park your car secured behind a railing which will cause you no troubles finding a parking place! The reason why our stay was so memorable... More

Villa Astoria is one of nine hotel/B&Bs my husband and I booked for our driving trip in Southern Italy. We spent two nights at Villa Astoria and our stay started with a warm welcome from Mauro. He helped orient us to the town and local sites. He also made a great restaurant recommendation. Room was clean and comfortable and had... More

Without doubt the most welcoming family I've had the pleasure of staying with, Mauro (the big 'O' as he's affectionately known) and Francesca made this trip one I'll never forget, they couldn't do more to help, ideally located a minutes walk from the main street, it's the perfect place to stay. A traditional Sicilian building with a beautiful relaxing garden,... More
