This hotel is suppose to be an upscale hotel. Well save your soldi. The manager treats you like you owe him something (Nicola Micena) not courteous, and I would never recomend this hotel to my Italians or American Friends Now I know why it's empty. the prices should be lower with this economy. There were too many Godfathers there, that was... more

My family and I stayed here for 8 days in July,we were abit dubious about the hotel as we had read below average reviews on the trip advisor but regardless ,decided to stay anyway because we thought it was a good location. That is probably the only positive that this hotel has,it sits right on the beach in the lovely... more

We stayed at this hotel as we were unable to get into the San Domenica. We were thoroughly disappointed and I wish I had read the trip advisor reviews prior to going and we would have not stayed at this hotel. On arrival the reception staff were disinterested and showed us to a room next to reception, we noticed a... more

We spent 7 nights in this hotel, the surrounding area is beautiful, the hotel is nice and clean! Unfortunately full of russian guests! Before we went there, I also read about this hotel on tripadvisor and was written that rooms are very small! Inspite we paid for basic room we got spacious one with big balcony. The beach is NOT... more

Lovely 5-star hotel with marble floors. The buffet breakfast looked magnificent but the English breakfast was inedible - grey very fatty bacon, cold plates, almost raw sausages, uncooked fried eggs (wait 15 minutes if you want these!). The fruit juice was in fact fruit drink and the 'tea' was quite undrinkable - lukewarm. We tried the coffee but this was... more

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in the first week of September 2006. We both fell in love with Taormina and the Hotel. The rooms were a little small but who cares when you have such a wonderful beach and surroundings. The hotel was in the perfect location, very close to the Funivia or skycable which takes... more

Taormina is a beautiful place and if you have never gone I strongly recommend you do, but DO NOT stay in the Mazzaro Sea Palace. I booked this hotel because I was looking for sun, beach and quiet, and the hotel claims to have a beautiful "private beach". Well although the beach is certainly nice, there was nothing private about... more

Just spent 8 nights at the Sea Palace and overall found it very nice but a bit pricey for a not quite 5 star experience. Rooms spacious if slight lack of storage e.g. nowhere to put empty suitcases with large but not really that private terrace. Public rooms very grand (dark blood red marble stairs) but moderate-sized pool squeezed in... more

The hotel has a great location and beautiful views, but the hotel itself is showing its age and needs a facelift. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the hotel is just a few metres away from the cable car up to Taormina. Had breakfast in the room, which was ok, didn't try the restaurant. more

We have just returned from a 4 night stay, where unfortunately because of changing weather we spent a lot more time in and around the hotel than initialy intended. But no prblem, from the minute the car dropped us there until the minute we left the hotel it was quality, lovely facilities, good sixe rooms, and a beach location that... more
