This place has seen better days - the decor is tired, and so are the management policies - who still charges extra for wifi? This place does, and at 10E per day on top of the room rate, this just seems unreasonable. A recent addition has seen an open air disco installed on the roof of the hotel, where music... More

A restful, attractive room with terrace over looking the Ionian. Very clean. Friendly personnel. Easy trip to the heart of town. Good restaurants and shopping nearby. Choice of beach or pool. A dreamy breakfast complete with 4 kinds of ices. Only complaint---no clock/radio which was missed by me.

4 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star. It was very good but the edges needed tidying. No information in the room was a main gripe. I had to go to reception to find out what times for breakfast and was allowed to copy them down from a dog eared piece of paper. I never did get the TV/Sky working... More

Mazzarò Sea Palace is like a friend feel that you are returning to. The colors, the absolute peace and quiet in Sicily relaxation is a way of life, you will find the best beach, just in front of the hotel, time froze here, it's still 1982 and I love it, the cable care will take you up to the beautiful... A lovely hotel, with beautiful views of the bay and beach from most rooms. Coming in from the street, after going down a steep driveway, you enter a small, dark and not particularly inviting lobby. Do not be dismayed, it's all up hill from there. Or, should I say downhill, since the lobby is on the fourth floor and most... More

The GHMSP is not exactly a palace - but it is a big hotel by the sea.  Overall it’s a good facility though. We enjoyed our stay - the rooms are large and come with excellent sized balconies (generous in the scheme of things), but it is definitely showing some age in terms of dated style. e.g I noticed white... Spent the first week of June 2015, most enjoyably, at the Mazzaro Sea Palace. The Hotel is located at the beach and has beautiful sea views. It is very close to the Cable Car which travels up (c.200 m) to Taormina every 15 minutes, at reasonable cost. The bedroom was spacious with a large balcony; alas, there was no bath,... More

One of the best hotels in the Taormina area. If you are fit, try to go the steps down form Taormina to Mazzaro, for amazing views on the way. Standard double rooms have a lovely view of the beach, and are nice and clean. Breakfast was very good, with polite and smiling staff. The Manager even gave a free Prosecco... More

I can't believe how the last 2 reviews on this hotel were so bad! How wrong were they? We came here for 3 nights for the weekend and we had the loveliest time! The Hotel is set in an amazing Bay with the most beautiful views, the hotel is very opulent with over the top chandaliers and ornaments, but this... More

I booked this as a 25th wedding anniversary holiday and was disappointed by the tiredness of the hotel. The staff are good as is the location (although not a great deal to do). This is not equivalent to a UK 5 star, more like 4 star. First evening no hot water, the decor is very tired and the hotel must... More
