The hotel is located in a great position. The staff are amazing, friendly and work very hard. The rooms are very average and without any tea/coffee facilities. There are no porters on arrival to take your luggage as they are seemingly busy with variety of other duties. The food is good and consistent in terms of quality. In summary, it... More

This hotel ranks itself as a five star. It is nowhere near 5 stars. Nice location. The hotel down the road Villa San Andrea is a MUCH better hotel. I booked 2 rooms at the Mazzaro Sea Palace. One more expensive then the other. Upon check in, we found that the rooms were identical. Not only was the manager, Francesa,... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The air conditioning was great and the San Domenico Hotel should send their Chief Engineer down here to see how it works. The best thing about the hotel is the location. The hotel operation is good.......it's not great and could be improved.......more efficient, more languages in employees, cheaper prices in restaurant/laundry and no Internet... More

We returned few days ago, after 10 days spent in Mazzaro. It was real paradise, everything was first class, first of all employes, from the reception, restaurant, room service and salvattagio, pardon my Italian. They were fantastic. Hotel is OK,rooms are clean and spacious but people working there are the best.

After a frustrating start to our vacation (luggage lost by Alitalia) it was nice to come to this hotel with such a helpful staff. Thanks to Simona, who relentlessly called to try and locate our luggage. To make matters worse, I sprained my ankle and she again helped with supplying ice. Simona made good recommendations for restaurants, arranged to have... More

My husband and I stayed here for our "mini-moon" for 3 nights in June 2015. We had found it hard to select a hotel in Taormina as there are so many to choose from and we didn't know the area. Overall I am glad we chose the Mazzaro Sea Palace and would recommend it to others who are similarly unsure.... More

5 star hotel with its own private, spacious beach at the bottom of Taormina. All of the great things about 5 star hotels were there - friendly staff, delicious food, spacious and beautiful rooms with gorgeous views. One extra benefit is it is only a 30 second walk to the cable car that goes up to Taormina. For us, this... More

This place has seen better days - the decor is tired, and so are the management policies - who still charges extra for wifi? This place does, and at 10E per day on top of the room rate, this just seems unreasonable. A recent addition has seen an open air disco installed on the roof of the hotel, where music... More

A restful, attractive room with terrace over looking the Ionian. Very clean. Friendly personnel. Easy trip to the heart of town. Good restaurants and shopping nearby. Choice of beach or pool. A dreamy breakfast complete with 4 kinds of ices. Only complaint---no clock/radio which was missed by me.

4 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star. It was very good but the edges needed tidying. No information in the room was a main gripe. I had to go to reception to find out what times for breakfast and was allowed to copy them down from a dog eared piece of paper. I never did get the TV/Sky working... More
