Have just returned 29 September from a weeks holiday. Comfortablel clean hotel, very modern and well equiped room with sun balcony, all rooms have sea view. Good pool area with lunch time food. The hotel is upside down, reception and restaurant are at the top, would suggest staying floors three to five. Very quiet no traffic noise. There is a... More

Firstly, if you choose to go to Scily,Taormina is definately the resort to stay in. From what we learned it is one of the more upmarket resorts but is high up in the hills so no good if you are scared of heights!! The hotel itself was excellent. Everything from decor to service was perfect. The staff all spoke good... More

Overall, the hotel is over priced and in need of some refurbishment. If you do not get one of the good balconies (you have a 50% chance) then your room will be a little dingy. The bathrooms are not up to scratch, being small, a little mildewed, and unchanged from the 70’s. And if you require a bathrobe you have... More

Dear Guest, I am very sorry for the problem that you reported, but there must have been a misunderstanding, in fact our staff never stop Guests introducing one bottle or biscuits, neither they do in any case, shout or open Guests bags, they just approach guests with our usual kindness. Comments from our guests are taken in high consideration as... More

Cannot fault the monty towero as the rep called it. Breakfast was all you could ask for scenery is amazing and weather was goegeous! Steep hill as you leave hotel but no other worries. Pool guy is class but we did see him tell some kids to shut up even when they were'nt being that loud so maybe an issue... More

Booked this hotel as part of a package, but read lots of reviews first. I would agree with 99% of the reviews that I have read but there are just a few comments that I would like to add. The accommodation is great.... good sized rooms and spectacular views. the best bed and pillows that i have experienced. Breakfast very... More

We stayed there for 4 nights, early part of August, meeting up with a couple who were getting married in Taormina and other friends/family of ours/theirs. I have been a tour operator for over 30 years, and my opinion is that this is a very good hotel, well run, and the staff are excellent. The furnishings, setting and views are... More

This was our first visit to Taormina, and indeed Sicily. So we went with no preconceived ideas at all but at the end of our five week Italian holiday it was a very definite favourite, a destination we recommend to all our friends. We flew easily and pleasantly to Catania airport from Rome where we were met by a pre-booked... More

What can i SAY?! I was so BORED on this holiday. I thought Sicily was meant to offer youngersters like myself (early twenties) fun, great beaches and excellent weather. Well, the weather was good, but everything else was awful. Let me start with the hotel, Monte Tauro. It is true, it's a 4 star hotel and one could say that... More

Stayed here for two weeks for our honeymoon and had a junior suite. Everything about the hotel was modern, clean and the views were stunning. Our room was fab with a hydro massage bath, widescreen TV, mini bar and double balcony. The hotel staff are very efficient and friendly and the pool attendant is a star! Taormina is a beautiful... After extensive research on hotels in Sicily the Monte Tauro was our second choice and boy am I glad our first choice was booked out! The combination of breathtaking sea views in a top class hotel so near the town was unbeatable. From the moment we arrived every member of staff was so polite and friendly - I especially loved...
