Well located right by the beach, comfortable room, looking at the ocean. It has several charming and ample living areas, inside and outside to relax and enjoy your vacation. The terrace where you have breakfast makes you think that you are in a sophisticated movie scene. The food was very good and fresh. The staff very friendly. You can enjoy... More

Yes it is outdated but that was the charm of the hotel, I thought the price was cheap with the fabulous view right on the water. The internet was available at no charge in the main room. The town of Taormina is something not to be missed as we travelled all of Italy this was the most amazing town like... More

Terrible place, totally old fashioned, complete relic. My girlfriend vomited after breakfast because the food was awful. There were hundreds of tiny fruit flies under the lid of the serving trays of the fresh (tinned) fruit for your cereal. There were hairs in my bed that didn't belong to me or my girlfriend. The bathroom was awful, the wifi was... More

This hotel wasn't cheap, even in October and it isn't 4 star - more like 3 star for the room as it's old looking and does need updating. The shower is small with only a curtain to go all the way around 3 sides which does stick to you. Plus the toilet roll which is right next to the shower... More

I spent 4 days here in August. It was FERRAGOSTO week, the busiest in Italy, but all went good. Great service, comfortable rooms and wonderful views. Sea is clear and marvellous. NOT EASY AT ALL FIND A HOTEL ALONG THE SEASIDE! Great Sicilian food. Better than expected .-)

We came off the cable car from Taormina and wanted to explore. We turned left and walked along the road. We were looking for somewhere for lunch and followed a sign to a beach bar. When we got there it is was closed so we walked along the beach. Suddenly we saw Hotel Lido Mediterranee with a lovely terrace, trees... More

Everyone that described this place as needing an update or leaking showers, is telling you the truth! NOOO free WIFI, that you can get just EATING DINNER AT A RESTUARANT for free! No good breakfast...the land of the finest espresso and cappuccino and you WON'T get one here....ONE pillow per person....no air conditioning....shower curtain STICKS to you while showering...neighbors can... The water views from our room and the friendly service of Mario, Francesco, Salvatore and Mona Lisa made our stay pleasant . The hotel does need some refreshing as there are many signs of wear and tear and a lack of technology. The water was great for swimming although the grumpy young beach attendant hit a sour note. The patio... More

If you're a fan of Mad Men or of Sixties style, this is a great place to stay. The service is excellent, it is comfortable and well appointed and it is right on the beach. It feels like staying in a glamorous sixties movie. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel is full of retro features. We... More

At first I thought I made the wrong choice because it is true that from first sight everything loosk old and passé. But then, once I got into my room and opened the window I realized how lucky I was to have the chance to view the sea right in front of me, and more than that, to be able... More
