My wife and I have just returned from a week at this very traditional hotel.Whilst you can always find little faults with any hotel on the whole this hotel has it all. The location is excellent - within a stones throw of centre of Taormina and all the shops and restaurants. The views are stunning from the pool and the hotel... More

My family and I have just spent a week at this wonderful hotel and we would like to express our gratitude to the wonderful staff who manage this hotel for making us feel so welcome and attending to all that we needed. We have a baby daughter and we just had so much help and the staff was so charming... More

Family of 3 stayed for one week in early August. Our room 315 was clean and recently decorated- extremely well appointed overlooking pool and sea together with panoramic sidedrop of Etna.Hotel is conveniently located to the Corsa Umberto(the main street for strolling and window shopping),but, be prepared for the steep inclines and gradients which keep you well exercised.Hotel dinner was... Some of the reviews for this hotel are grossly unfair...It is a fabulous place to stay. The hotel staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming...particularly the dining staff who have endearing personalities and a sense of fun and humour. The decor is traditional and perhaps worn but the service is super. The pool is big and perfect for swimming - there... More

I stayed here for 1 week with my boyfriend in June. We took a gamble and upgraded to a sea view room, not knowing if it would be worth the extra cost. We got lucky and were put in a room with a view of both Mt. Etna and the sea - would highly recommend requesting this. Absolutely amazing. The... More

First impressions are nice; reception staff polite enough. The pool area was pleasant with a spectacular view of Mt Etna, although the pool man needs lessons in customer service. Now for our room on level -2 Room 122. The room was a good size but that’s about it, the windows overlooked the pathway so no privacy and the bathroom was... More

Just back from this hotel after a gap of 10 years. A really nice "grand" hotel high up in the rocks overlooking the bay. Good pool with good service from a attentive pool service with towels etc provided. Nice Italian meals served by proffesional staff. Book a high room with a sea view, you will not be dissapointed.

After reading so many bad reviews for this hotel, I did not know what to expect when we arrived. We were greeted by a very friendly and informative receptionist who supplied us with a Free Upgraded room (234), which due to our early arrival was not quite ready. So as it was lunch time we decided to get something to... More

I really liked this hotel. It was comfortable, clean and the staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. We had a half board deal which was excellent. The food was really good and there was a great choice of fresh stuff for breakfast. It was a bit shabby chic but for me that added to the charm.
