Love the staff ! Amazing location and great rooms. Outside area is tasteful and pleasant. Food was good and vegetarians will have a vast choice of great veggies. Breakfast is a treat with all you can wish for.

Very bad internet connection, available a bit mostly at night between 4 and 6. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner is a buffet , many choices but mostly overcooked and/or laying long time in hotwater and/or etc the bread is good. Seating is sometimes as they put you all in the same corner just to easy the workcondition of the... More

We were met at reception by friendly and helpful staff and this continued throughout the week. The bedroom was fine but the bathroom had only a rudimentary shower and there were other failings in maintenance. Breakfast was about average for international visitors - hot food was only so so. The location is easy walking distance from the local bus station... More

We stayed two nights at this hotel and were thrilled when we arrived to see the gorgeous views but when we were given our tiny room and saw that it was on floor one with a HUGE TALL wall right outside the window that made the room dark and damp, we were so disappointed! No sun ever came in! Apparently... More

Just a few improvements would make this the perfect place to stay: Soundproofing the rooms. Changing tiles so you dont risk falling when your feet or the floor is wet ! Making Wi-Fi internet gratis for guests. Stationary and city map in the room. What appealed to us was the easy access and short distance to the bus-terminal/taxi stand. The... More

We have visited Sicily previously and having spent a night in Taormina, decided to find an inexpensive but comfortable hotel to make the most of the late Med sun for a week of Italian culture and relaxation. This hotel certainly delivered. It struggles to consistently sustain its four star status; it's not tangibly obvious why, as the grounds, views from... More

Good things: Beautiful gardens/pool Really helpful staff especially on front desk Very clean Great location Beautiful views Not so good: Decor a bit tired Shower a bit leaky Breakfasts a bit boring Without the excellent service this would have been a 3 but the front desk made it their priority to give us a great holiday, with trips arranged and... This hotel is very near the top of a steep hill just under the amphitheatre. The bus station is just below the hotel - you have to walk up a steep ramp from the bus station and then up about 15 steps and then walk along a tunnel for about 25 metres to a lift up two floors to the... More

I am quite a fussy person and am always careful as to my choice of hotels. I found Palazzo Santa Caterina very much to my liking. The location was very good, very close to the bus terminus and city-center, as well as excellent views. The only snag was the short uphill walk leading to the hotel. Staff-members were very friendly... More

Per the HF Holidays catalogue, I booked and paid for the following: “enjoy the sea views from our new hotel” “bedrooms which have recently been refurbished” “ our guests’ rooms all face towards the sea” “bath and shower” “tea and coffee are included” at dinner May I now describe the room I was given: It faced the rock wall at...
