My daughter, 1 year old grandson and I stayed at the San Domenico hotel 7th September for 4 nights. We arrived at the hotel and the entrance is enchanting. It used to be a monastery and the building obviously retains this character. We were upgraded to a seaview, suite room. A beautiful room overlooking the sea and we were able... More

A converted 15 Century monastery, this is a combination between a five star hotel and a museum. While the rooms may be a bit small, since they used to be actually monks cells, the overall building complex, including two cloisters, gardens and a pool are nothing short than fabulous. Service is amazing, truly 5 star, and the breakfast a real... More

We stayed in an inwards looking room (towards a non accessible courtyard) which was very spacious, but Wi-Fi which we had to pay for did not work very well. The bathrooms however seemed outdated for that type of hotel. With respect to the hotel as such, perfect location to go out in the town, breathtaking views and excellent restaurants, lovely... More

A Beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting, fabulous staff and service and really excellent food. A couple of improvements could be made though! Better wifi and it really should be free in the rooms, in hotel of this calibre ther is no excuse for making an additional charge in this day and age. Also the television channels could be improved... More

I apologize for the wi-fi ( at the moment it’s free in all the common areas and not in the rooms) but it’s good to know that... More

8/19/2014 The internet pictures the hotel posts are very deceiving. The picture for a classic room gives the appearance of a nice large room and also the appearance of having a sea view. When we checked into the hotel, we were assigned a Classic Room on the ground floor (note, the hotel has two floors, first and second). Our room... More

My wife and I stayed for a week and had a de-luxe sea view/balcony room. The entrance is disconcerting- just a whole in the wall with access to a court yard and then another door. Sometimes their is no doorman but their is a phone to call him. Once through the inner courtyard (with a no visitors sign to keep... More

We are so pleased to have stayed at a luxury hotel and historical building by the same time. It was like living in a museum. I would not care about any of the other maybe disadvantages some bad will reviews mention. The potential of staying there with the facilities of a 5 star hotel is unbeatable choise. We enjoyed the... The hotel has beautiful gardens, a nice restaurant (though hardly worth two Michelin stars), and a fabulous location. HOWEVER, it is dirty with soiled lobby furniture and hallway runners. Rumor has it the chain is being sold so I guess they don't want to invest any further funds to renovate or keep it up. I would skip this hotel altogether!

We had a 6 night stay in August, with two superior double rooms with sea views. Our rooms were in the old part of the hotel, which used to be a monastery.
