I arrived early on the day of my check in and the staff at the reception are the most helpful I have come across at numerous hotel i ve visited so far. We were invited to wait for our room to be ready in the bar where we had a welcome drink, and the handsome Marco, Orlando Bloom look alike,... More

This hotel is situated in an old palazzio up a flight of steps from the Corsa Umberto, the main drag in Taormina. It is therefore within walking distance of all the interesting sites and restaurants in Taormina. However as this is a pedestrian area this means that you cannot drive to the hotel but they direct you to a nearby... More

Stayed in El Jebel for our wedding in Taormina. The hotel offers genuine hospitality starting at the second of check in until the checkout. We stayed in a suite (no view) on the second floor (1st according to the hotel's elevator). The room was spacious, with a separate sitting area and a large bedroom. The bathroom is well equipped, however... More

The title says it all, that's the time we would have liked to spend there and the feeling and the decor of the hotel. El Jebel is the Mountain, the Aetna which, by the way, graced us with a beautiful night eruption! The hotel has all the charm of a small run hotel but the service of a five star.... More

Stayed early September 2011. High price, but good service. Doesn't have the pool and other features some neighboring high end properties have, but rooms are large and clean.

We stayed at El-Jebel mid-september 2011. Initially we had planned to stay only 2 nights and move on. We ended up extending it to 5 nights; that is to say the total duration of our stay in the region. We even changed our return tickets to be able to spend the last day there..That's how much we loved it! As... More

We returned this week from a fabulous trip to Sicily and spent our last night in El Jebel. There are only 10 rooms and we upgraded to a suite when there which was just stunning - without doubt one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in! Great service, lovely breakfast, fantastic views over the town and very centrally... More

AMAZING!!!!!!! What a gem find. it is perfectly located right off the main street, Corso Umberto which makes getting around most easy. It is a boutique 10 roomed hotel that has only been open for about 3 years and doesn't yet feature in most of the guidebooks but it does on tripadvisor and I can see why. The whole hotel... More

Just spent 4 days and nights at El Jebel in Taormina with my boyfriend. We had spent 3 weeks travelling Europe and on the whole all the hotels were great, however, El Jebel was a stand out. Right in the centre of town with wonderful views from the roof terrace, the hotel was sparklingly clean, quiet and stylish. The rooms... More
