The Continental Hotel we a wonderful surprise after our disappointing stay in Agrigento. The manager, Roberto, and his staff went out of their way to may our stay enjoyable.
We arrived rather late in the afternoon and enquired about a place to have dinner. Within an hour, Roberto arranged for the owner of a restaurant down the hill from the hotel, to come and meet with me to arrange a special menu for the evening.
When a group member lost her bank card, Roberto made phone calls and contacted the bank to facilitate the return of her card. He also made phone calls for us to find out the best bus connections, forwarded emails and received faxes for our group.
The amenities did not stop at the front desk. Imagine my surprise when our group arrived for breakfast the next morning and the waiter remembered how each of us liked our coffee and what the individual group members liked to eat for breakfast.
