We stayed at La Frescura on our honeymoon and it was beautiful. Different to anywhere else we stayed as it is a renovated farm; modern and trendy, in contrast to the older buildings we stayed in - all equally good just different. Walking through all the fruit groves was just so relaxing and with the sun setting was one of... more

When I arrived with my small yoga group we were greeted by lovely Franca, the owner, & her charming daughter Ida with the warmest welcome! The rooms/apartments are extremely clean, spacious, and beautiful each with its own flavor in this lovely restored stone farmhouse. Although Franca speaks only a little English, her warmth & caring for all our needs were... more

We stayed for three nights in La Frescura and enjoyed it very much. Nice, welcoming people. Beautiful ancient restored farm, with modern rooms. Good food, with several homemade products. There was also an opportunity for making a trekking on the Etna, which was a great experience. We walked for many hours across lava fields with our own guide and a... more

We stayed for tree nights. It was wonderfull to walk under the orange an lemon trees. There is a great view, and if the weather is good, you have your own terace to sit and enjoin the sun. In the spacious rooms ther is also a little kitchen, just fun to make your own coffee and so on. The family... more

The family who ran the agriturismo worked as a team to make our visit incredible. The accomodations were comfortable, the location good for exploring the region by car, and the family gave good suggestions for outings and tours. An architect daughter has an adventure travel business and she took us for a day of hiking at a historic natural reserve... more

When we arrived at LaFrescura we recieved a warm welcome from the elegant Franca. Our accomodations were beautiful and we were treated like honored guests. The rooms and apartments were designed by a daughter and son and are absolutely charming. Daughter, Ida is an intellectual with a heart and we had many great discussions with her. Father, Natalo (sp?) took... more

What a find! If you want a charming, serene setting with great hosts, this agriturismo/b&b is a wonderful place to stay. We found it by chance and stayed an extra week because we were so impressed by the cleanliness, location (it takes minutes to get to the impressive monuments of the area and a short highway ride to places like... more

I had the pleasure of staying at this newly renovated "agritourismo" twice (in September, and in October) this past fall with some friends, both times for a weekend. The location was just outside of the city, easily accessible by car....a 10 minute drive puts you right into town. It was nice to stay in a working farm (lemon, oranges, etc.),... more

When I came to this place for the first time some years, we were visiting our friends there. At that time the villa was in very bad shape so we just slept in our sleeping bags in front of the house. When I came back there last november I couldn't believe my eyes. The villa was completely renovated with a... more
