I echo the sentiments of other reviewers that Francesco is the nicest host/concierge I've ever come across in my entire life. Genuine, sweet, always helpful. I will always remember him. Situated near the Temple of Apollo on Ortigia Island these apartments are in a perfect position for visiting Siracusa. Just off a main shopping street and close to the fabulous local food market. There are lots of positives about this apartment. The location is good, at the north end of the island of Ortigia, not far from the bridge across, so you have good access to the rest of Ortigia plus also the train station and buses which are in the other part of town. They are about a 20 minute walk away.... More

Arco Antico is in the very centre of Syracuse's Isola Ortigia, just off one of the high streets. It's run by two friendly guys, with lots of advice for our stay and always available on phone or in reception. It's a small aparthotel, no breakfast. The rooms are modern and relatively spacious and the building is quaintly old.

These rental apartments are ideally located to explore the lovely island of Ortigia, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Francesco recommended great restaurants and sight-seeing spots nearby, so it's worth asking for his advice. The flat was very spacious, very elegantly decorated and very clean. Located near the temple of Apollo in the center of old town, the apartment was very convenient - walking access to ruins, the puppet theatre, beach / inlet, coastal walk, the Piazza di Athena and grocery store(s).
