We stayed for 3 nights in Hotel Cavalieri as part of our Sicilian vacation. The location is convenient, just few walking minutes outside of historic Ortigia. We were able to find parking for our rental car just outside the hotel easily and for free. The hotel is very well designed and made- an aesthetic Island. The old house/ palazzo has... More

The hotel is charming- we had the standard rooms which was very nice and clean. Reception staff (who seems to be part of the family owner) is very friendly and gave good recommendation. Breakfast was nice, but space a bit crowded. Good location for walking around Ortygia

Despite this hotel being situated on a main road we were soon transformed into a different quiet world in classical surroundings when we stepped through the door. We were greeted by charming hosts who spoke good English and we were quickly escorted to our well appointed room. We had pre-booked a car parking space at the hotel (€15/night) and we... More

This was our first time in Syracuse and I was very glad we chose this hotel. The moment I stepped in to the lobby, I could tell the owner/owners is someone who is obsessed with details (maybe that's why he has so many rules), everything was very carefully set up, the arts, the furniture, the floor, the walls, the lightening.... My husband and I stayed here 21 April 2015 for 2 nights. We are so please we chose this hotel to stay at. From arrival to departure, the personal service from the owners was wonderful. Our room (19) was large, stylish and comfortable. We enjoyed the roof terrace for evening drinks and breakfast was delightful. The location is perfect for... More

This hotel was in a good position, close to the island of Ortigia. The staff were all charming; they gave us a warm welcome and good advice about what to do in the area. The rooms were comfortable and the communal rooms were interestingly decorated with a careful mix of modern classics and antiques. There were lovely paintings all over... More

The position of the hotel makes it very convenient for exploring Ortigia, being a short walk to the bridges. The hotel rooms are clean and reasonably spacious, bathroom was modern. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was not what we had expected, many cakes and sundries which would have been better served for high tea. Parking could be... More

We stayed here for three nights. It is in a good area, close to the old town and many good restaurants. The breakfast was excellent continental style. The public areas were outstanding. The service was excellent. On our way to the hotel I had my bag snatched and lost my passport etc. The staff were very helpful giving directions to... More

A design conscious person's delight; exposed rough stone wall juxtaposed with a crystal chandelier in our bedroom - nice! Caravaggio style painting in lounge with all white furniture and antique wall and grandfather clocks. Well stocked with art books. Delightfully delicate breakfast - no bacon and egg! Situated a 10 minute walk away from the station, 10 minutes to the... More
