We had booked in advance and walked from the station at Syracuse (which is well sign-posted) and this gave us the chance to see the old town first. We arrived at the Hotel Livingston to check in where the lady on reception was extremely helpful and her English was excellent. She gave us a map and explained everything in detail,... More

By arriving and opening the door of the room, this awful warm smell came out, moist, disgusting. The guy who received me took his phone to call, who seemed to be his father, the owner, who started yelling at me! I was shocked, said I wanted to cancel my booking, and stay one night. it was almost 8pm). He threatened... More

Clean, comfortable room in an old building that has seen better days. There is evidence that this was once a bustling place but now the reception is closed--you go to the Hotel Livingston to check in--the small bars on two floors do not function, and the terraces have a variety of plastic and metal chairs, and a couple of worn... This hotel was one of the nicest I have had the opportunity to visit. Prices were too low to reflect how well appointed the rooms were. The staff was lovely and very helpful. Especially Maria. Can't say enough nice things about this place. Not sure the mattresses were not Temperpedic.

We found this B&B after looking around at a few places. It was wonderful and Maria was so amazing and helpful. We were travelling with 3 kids (6yrs, 4yrs and 2 yrs) but we were never made to feel a nuisance and looked after so nicely. Maria can recommend good authenic restaurants and makes a great cappucino. We loved it... More

We arrived in Syracuse without a booking and my wife looked at 10 or so places while I sat with the bags. This was by far the best place in town in our price range. The position was great, right in the middle of town. The room was quiet, spacious and clean (with a fridge, as one of the other... More

Acropoli is one of our discoveries of this summer. The hotel is very clean, very well located in the right center of Ortigia, nicely decorated in an old palace. Of course the rooms giving to the street are rather noisy at night. But at the reception, Maria is very effective and helpful. A real must!

Acroploi B&B was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there the previous year. We were delighted with the B&B. Our room was spacious and spotless with attention to detail which you do not expect from Italian hotels of this rating.A bonus was a working bar fridge in our room - just great for keeping drinks cool! Our... More

This was the nicest B&B we stayed in during our 3 week trip to Sicliy. Maria, who manned the front desk was always friendly and so helpful with whatever we needed. The location was central to everything in Ortegia which made it a great base to operate from. The room was very comfy and always clean. The shower was just... More

The Acropoli B & B in Siracusa is beautifully located on the old island of Ortiga. We foud in on the net whilst looking for somewhere to stay for a week to explore this part of Sicily and can highly recommend it. Our room is very pleasant with air conditioning, TV and a good bathroom with an excellent power shower.... More
