We chose "Il Podere" as the venue for our Wedding reception. The place is marvellous, the personnel's courtesy and professionalism are unmatched. They manage everything directly, they don't need external caterers, so organizing the reception was straightforward, excellent fod and fantastic hospitality. For those who live abroad and want to get married in Sicily, "Il Podere" is the perfect place... More

I ended up staying here for two nights due to overbooking at Borgo Pantano. Borgo Pantano was very gracious about the situation and even allowed me to dine and use their property for those two nights (I had been staying at Borgo Pantano). The first night I believe that I and a couple were the only guests on the property.... More

The hotel is not a good choice, based on our experience- I'll be as brief but as informative as possible. 1: We found the RECEPTION MANAGER to be most RUDE and unfriendly. We were not happy with how she dealt with our concerns about the 'friendly' LIZARDS who roamed all around the hotel grounds. I understand the hotel is situated... More

We had to stay one night there, because our planned hotel (Borgo Pantano) had made an overbooking. In short: It is an ok infrastructure, rooms are not great, the entire hotel is not a great experience. So, I very much advise to stay at Borgo Pantano. Il Podere could become a nice location, if they invest much more in it... More

This is a lovely building with very attractive grounds and a pool with a nice setting. It is very well maintained and our room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were polite and friendly and the standard of service by the staff at breakfast time and especially with the evening meal was excellent. There is clearly a very good... More

want a lovely place to stay outside siracusa, this is perhaps a place to stay. there are some downfalls, however. the interior design of the hotel is beautiful but quite impractical. the bathroom lighting is very poor, little space in the closet, the lighting in the room was poor and the air conditioning could have been much better. the breakfast,... We stayed here for a week and overall we had a great stay. The location is good, as its just a 5 minute drive to Syracuse and much nicer to be out in the beautiful countryside of the surrounding hills than in the hustle and bustle of the city centre. It is quite hard to find if you are driving... More

We were pleased to get into this hotel at short notice through laterooms (as the previous hotel had messed up our booking). First impressions were good; the hotel is set in a lovely building and our room was large and clean, the bed was comfy and the shower room was OK. The gardens and the pool were nice; the loungers... This is one of the most beautifull hotel we have ever been in. As said in earlier reviews the whole hotel is beautifull decorated. The room was spotless, with a very nice balcony. Because the hotel also has a Spa even the toiletries were of great quality. The receptionists speak good English (not very common in Sicily) and were very... More

This was easily the classiest hotel we stayed at. It was beautiful, outside the city, and quite. We had a beautiful room with real wood furniture and one of the 3 or 4 terrasses in the hotel. This is what I pictured Sicily to be like. We spend the evening laying on the lounge chairs in the grass next to... More
