Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere. Pool only open from 10 am to 6 pm. The hotel restaurant is without daylight, although there are several windows facing the garden. The hotel seems to give priority to [wedding] parties. We arrived on a Saturday and at 6 pm the pool area and garden was already reserved for a wedding 2-3... More

The good: Rooms were clean and comfortable. Our bathroom had a few glitches, but nothing serious. The hotel and property overall are very good looking. Two pools, large grounds and a play ground for young children. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My minor complaint is about the food quality and WiFi. Room service was expensive and below average. WiFi... More

Il Podere is 10 minutes away from Siracusa, 20 min away from Noto and less than 1 hour away from Ragusa. ½ hour away from Etna and 1 hour away from Taormina, which makes it the perfect base for exploring Sicily’s east coast. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful farms and orange groves. Our room was huge and beautiful. We... More

An excellent place in a beautiful quite location, the best possible service, this is a 4 stars hotel that would deserve 5 stars. Suggested to both families and singles looking for a relaxing high quality vacation. Would be back here everytime I could. Bravi!!!

We chose "Il Podere" as the venue for our Wedding reception. The place is marvellous, the personnel's courtesy and professionalism are unmatched. They manage everything directly, they don't need external caterers, so organizing the reception was straightforward, excellent fod and fantastic hospitality. For those who live abroad and want to get married in Sicily, "Il Podere" is the perfect place... More

I ended up staying here for two nights due to overbooking at Borgo Pantano. Borgo Pantano was very gracious about the situation and even allowed me to dine and use their property for those two nights (I had been staying at Borgo Pantano). The first night I believe that I and a couple were the only guests on the property.... More

The hotel is not a good choice, based on our experience- I'll be as brief but as informative as possible. 1: We found the RECEPTION MANAGER to be most RUDE and unfriendly. We were not happy with how she dealt with our concerns about the 'friendly' LIZARDS who roamed all around the hotel grounds. I understand the hotel is situated... More

We had to stay one night there, because our planned hotel (Borgo Pantano) had made an overbooking. In short: It is an ok infrastructure, rooms are not great, the entire hotel is not a great experience. So, I very much advise to stay at Borgo Pantano. Il Podere could become a nice location, if they invest much more in it... More

This is a lovely building with very attractive grounds and a pool with a nice setting. It is very well maintained and our room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were polite and friendly and the standard of service by the staff at breakfast time and especially with the evening meal was excellent. There is clearly a very good... More

want a lovely place to stay outside siracusa, this is perhaps a place to stay. there are some downfalls, however. the interior design of the hotel is beautiful but quite impractical. the bathroom lighting is very poor, little space in the closet, the lighting in the room was poor and the air conditioning could have been much better. the breakfast,...
