Ettore was a delight! So helpful and pleasant! Was a joy to stay at this hotel. Great position in the centre, we walked everywhere. The rooms were clean and spacious. We stayed in 2 different ones and they were both great. Breakfast was nice, on a cute little terrace. Really, this is what all hotels should be like. Hospitality at... More

We stayed at the Aretusa for 2 nights, then spend mid week in the country side and returned to Ortigia for a last night. The hotel is situated in the hip and happening Origia area of Syracuse. Lots of bars, restaurants and activity. The hotel itself is very nice. Clean rooms and rooms of a good size. The staff is... More

A great hotel with genuinely lovely staff (the help parking our car in the narrow streets of Syracuse was greatly appreciated), but let down by a ridiculous lack of hot water in the shower. I think we had about 5 minutes (if that) before it ran out, making it impossible for us both to have hot showers before dinner (and... More

We had a ground floor room with a bed on a mezzanine floor. It was really quirky and full of character and we loved it but perhaps you need to check you don't get this room if you've any trouble with getting up and down narrow steps/moving in small spaces. The hotel was really friendly and the excellent fresh breakfast... More

We arrived in the evening for a 3 night stay and were greeted warmly & given lots of good advice including suggested places to eat. The next day we were also given the train timetable to Noto which was also very helpful. A cute lift took us up to our room which was spacious & included a small kitchen with... More

Pros: 1. Location is probably one of the best in Syracuse 2. Service .... "yes we can" approach and that is what I really appreciate 3. breakfast on the terrace ... superior, even comparing to some hotels networks 4. I would recommend this accommodation for stay up to 4/5 days 5. not to forget daily fresh lemons for free -... More

We visited Syracusa three times in the past three years. Every time we stayed in this hotel. The location, the staff, the rooms, the cleanliness, the breakfast.EVERYTHING is great! If you can't find a parking space in the overcrowded neighbourhood, one of the memebers of the staff will go with you and find you a place, so you won't be... More

Near the southern tip or Ortigia, Syracuse's old town, this was a wonderful place to spend a few days. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (even for Sicily, where we found this everywhere). We were mid-trip, so able to take advantage of their locked, underground pre-arranged parking garage, about 400m walk away (there's no need for a car in... More

We stayed here in September. Could not have been more pleased. Everyone was genuinely helpful, kind, enthusiastic. We were unprepared (our fault) to find hotel while in our car as it is on a pedestrians only (tiny) street. Hector, a real gentleman, came to our rescue appearing cheerful and unfazed (unlike myself ;) ). Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast... More

We loved breakfast on the roof terrace. The location is perfect - right in the middle or ortigia. The staff were very helpful and informative. We had a two room suite which would work well for a family.
