Our 3 night stay a Giuggiulena B&B will always be one of our fondest memories of our time in Sicily. We had the room on the lowest level with a balcony overlooking the sea. We could walk out our door, go out the back door of the B&B, walk down some steps and swim in the pristine turquoise waters in... More

Guiggiulena is Sicilian for sesame seeds. When you ask for the name Sabrina has a nice personal anecdote to share - to her Sicily meant peeling sesame seeds off the local bread, when visiting as a child. She's from Naples, originally. What can I add that hasn't been said yet? I booked for two nights and ended up staying for... More

We just finished a 3 night stay here as part of our 5 weeks in Sicily and Giuggiulena was wonderful. Our room opened OVER the sea and rocks below, was large, and well appointed and benefitted from the ocean breeze. Breakfasts of fresh pastries, cereals, meats, eggs, yogurt, cappuccino, etc all terrific. It is 50 meters from the bus line to Ortygia (50 cents!) and... More

Giuggiulena B&B is a perfect one in every sense. Exceptional location, clean and comfortable, polite and kind services, we were happy to stay there. The place is literally at the see, it is quite and peaceful, the downtown and other places of interest in Siracusa are within walking distance. Sabrina, the host is taking care very well of her guests.... More

Where to start?! Sabrina is the most wonderful, warm, kind hostess, Lucy and the other staff so helpful and efficient, the rooms immaculate. The location, overlooking the ocean, is wonderful with all rooms having a sea view/balcony, except the one we had on the top floor which had it's own terrace surrounded by Mediterranean pot plants and direct access to... Unforgettable B&B above Ionian sea. Charming, family run hotel with real food and hospitality. Sunlit and spotless rooms, with and amazing views, comfortable beds, great linens and fruit baskets. I must praise their luxurious homemade breakfast with clementine jam, fresh ricotta, salumi and baked goods. Ill will miss watching fishing boats from the balcony and drinking wine with friends on... We decided to stay just outside of Ortygia but within walking distance (about 15-20 minutes) and we made the right choice. Located on a high bluff overlooking the Ionian Sea, the Giuggiulena Villa was the absolutely perfect spot. Our room was spacious, lovely, and most comfortable. Our hosts made sure that all our needs were taken care of , accommodated... More

When asked by owner and hospitality queen, Sabrina how I found her amazing B&B I hesitated. It was a series of fortunate events, one being pure instinct. Author John Keahy had made mention to a B&B across the bridge to the island of Ortigia so I was on a quest to follow his footsteps as I planned my stay in... More

After 6 days on bike we arrived at this amazing hotel. We were stunned by the view from the private balcony. Almost 180 degree of see view. Very friendly staff, good breakfast and very good daily cleaning. No traffic noise. The hotel also has its own reef with clear sea that you can dive into. A big terrasse at the... More
