Excellent position for old town, perhaps a bit dated. Breakfast choice limited and unchanging, Room could do with modernising but service fine. A good safe bet convenient four star hotel with very good views over marina/harbour. Boat service to beach charged.

The Grand Hotel is perfectly located overlooking a small marina within minutes walk to the fantastic centre. Ok, so it may not be 5 star compared to London hotels but its not too far behind. As soon as we arrived, the staff had parked our car and collected our luggage. Within 2 hours of arriving, we had lunch on the... More

Great location and lovely interior design. However, fake smile and inefficient front desk service. Perhaps because I am Asian? Can never forget that exchange of mocking glances between the receptionist and the bell boy as he carried my huge luggage to my driver. So it was heavy but I've been traveling for two weeks! Tipped him nontheless as I saw... More

Gorgeous old-style upmarket hotel in Ortigia, the old quarter of Siracuse. Comfortable beds and very friendly and helpful service. Reasonable price too. Breakfast on the roof terrace over-looking the sea and the town was beautiful and delicious. I would have rated it Excellent, but the air-con was a bit noisy.

We stayed here four nights in early August. The hotel is very well run as you would expect. Staff were friendly and helpful and room service was faultless. They are very child-friendly and take pleasure in making children comfortable and entertained. The breakfast buffet is of extraordinary quality. Only small niggle was that we had to ask a laundry bill... More

This hotel was one of the best we stayed at during our trip to Sicily. It is conveniently located next to the marina on Ortigia, a max 10-15 minute walk to the fort at the tip of Ortigia and about 20-25 minutes to the architectural site and catacombs on the other side of the city. The hotel is attractive both... More

This hotel offers good value for money. A good breakfast is served on the roof where there is an excellent view. Wifi services which are free have to be improved in rooms,.in common areas otherwise is good. Here you are in the middle of a night life and restaurant area. Parking available in front of hotel.

We had a very nice stay here. The staff were both friendly and outgoing to our whole family. The included breakfast was the best we had in Sicily. It is served on the top floor and setting on the terrace overlooking the marina is lovely. The hotel arranges boat transfers to a little brown sand, brownish water beach on the... More

The hotel is beautiful and the location is great but their are many issues with the operation. The internet did not work on the second floor and I had to be in the lobby at all hours doing my work. The hotel solution was to change our room.after we had unpacked. We had a nice room with a harbor view and we could... This hotel was beautiful but the staff does not like Americans! Just never got the warm welcoming or first class customer service that we always get in Sicily! Just because it is the most expensive hotel doesn't mean it is the best!
