We arrived tired & hungry to find a lovely peaceful solice... Our room was large, clean & welcoming. Staff so helpful & always very cheery & smiling. Breakfast was the BEST continental we have ever had, everyday a different dish added to the buffet, food being replenished even @9-45am when closing @10-00am. We drove from the airport & we're really... More

Finding a parking place just prior to a bicycle race in Ortygia, as the tow truck drivers gleefully hoisted away cars parked on the race route, was a test passed smoothly by the staff at this welcoming hotel. Merely call on the services of the local parking "sleuth", who knew which signs may be ignored, and who earned his tip... More

Hotel was a little difficult to find through the narrow streets of Syracuse, but that's not a fault of the hotel. We were greeted by David, who took our (heavy) cases and checked us in, he was very helpful. Our room was quite large with high ceilings and a very large bed, which was extremely comfortable. Breakfast is served in... More

Location is superb within easy walk to the historical center. The nuns made the experience even more unique. What safer place to stay in when you have them praying for all their guests. Charming small courtyard on the ground floor and another one on the 1st floor. Rooms are very clean and huge. The sheets were tightly tucked in and... More

Everything as we hoped and more: exceptional staff; room overlooking blue Mediterranean (had to step onto the balcony to see the land at all). We neither wanted nor needed a car: Ortigia gave at least a week's worth of history, culture, restaurants, superb local market; the antiquities of Siracuse were within easy walking the second week, with the Baroque towns... This is one of the best three star hotels that I have ever stayed. Great value for money in all sense of the word. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable facilities, good location etc. I'd recommend this to anyone at any time.

We stayed in the Domus Mariae 3 nights and loved it, from the gracious staff, to the character and comfort of the rooms, as well as the delicious breakfast. The breakfast was one of the best we had in a month in Sicily. A cheese lovers paradise. Fresh ricotta, 2 to 3 kinds of pecorino, homemade yogurt, and much more.... More

Stayed here just for 1 night to enable us to visit this beautiful area whilst on holiday in Sicily. Hotel is in a very central location easily found with the help of sat Nav. Parked about 5 minutes walk away in public car park as very congested in immediate vicinity. 10 euros per 24 hrs. Staff welcoming and room spacious... More

We booked early and were offered a nicer room for an extra 20 euro per night. We declined the offer given our budget, but were still kindly granted the upgrade upon check-in. Indeed the room had the best view of our entire vacation. This was all soured by the parking situation…. Unlike most of the reviews we had no assistance... More

We only stayed three nights in this hotel but would have been very happy to stay longer. We had a lovely, big room with space to relax (we had room 202 with wonderful sea views). The hotel is so convenient, very central with plenty of good restaurants within walking distance also a local market which is most definitely worth a... More
