We spent 8 days at the centrally-located Archimede Vacanze, making it a base for exploration of the island and the area west of Siracusa. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. This is a very clean, tastefully decorated, four room B&B under the management of the affable and very helpful Sra. Flo. We had a large, nicely decorated room... More

We recently stayed 2 nights at this nicely situated B&B right on Piazza Archimede, the heart of Ortygia. We had a nice double room facing the Piazza. It was a beautiful view of the fountain, however, bring your earplugs, because even though the ac is on and windows shut, very late at night/ early morning (0200), our companions in another... More

We followed signs to talete parking and parked there in an undercover car park, was reasonable price (10 euros for 24 hours I think). Was about a 10 minute walk to archimede vacanze, but easy to find. Don't know if there is any easier parking nearby. Got there and spent about 10 mins ringing the bell at reception. Rang them... View to Piazza Archimede from our big room that we had for 5 nights - hard to imagine a better location as everything in the old town is a short walk away. Breakfast was excellent combined with really expert service in English is something we really appreciated.

The rooms are comfy and clean. Just in the center of Ortiga, walking distance from restaurants and shops. Our room had a nice balcony with view on the piazza archimede, although some noise at night ( bring earplugs). Good breakfast and friendly staff. Many stairs to get into the hotel, no elevator. Location is amazing!

A little difficult to find but well worth the trouble. Parking is a walk away, and there are stairs to get to the B&B. The welcome from your host Florentina is worth the effort. The rooms are, Comfortable, Clean, with an amazing traditional breakfast, what more could you need. It is in the centre of Ortiga so there may be... More

Stayed here for 3 nights as a solo female traveller. Was very clean, comfortable and safe. I had a room at the back/side. Breakfast was simple. Flo was very helpful and I felt very welcome. I was impressed with how modern the B&B was for the price and I'm not fussy about bathroom extras but the shampoo/vanity kits etc were... More

Our thanks to Floriana for making our stay in Siracusa so pleasant. This is a delightful, small B&B - more a boutique hotel really - right in the centre of Ortigia Yes, it's a bit noisy but it didn't worry us (as another review says, earplugs advised if you're a sensitive sleeper). We found parking a bit more difficult than... More

Great stay at Archimede Vacanze. Certainly the best location to visit Ortigia/Syracuse, directly on the Piazza Archimede. No problem at this time of the year (early April) to get a free parking space within 5 min. walk. Flo, the owner, would do her utmost to satisfy you, dispensing tips about what to visit and making sure your stay is comfortable.... More

We chose to stay here to experience Ortigia day and night. The location is perfect, centrally located on the third floor of a palazzo in Archimedes piazza. We has a room overlooking the square, complete with balcony and shutters. The room, although small, was more than adequate for our stay. However, I would strongly recommend ear-plugs if you like to... More
