This is a "grand hotel," as they say, so a bit less personal than a number of smaller places and b&b's we have been at throughout Sicily. Still, we had a very pleasant stay, with comfortable, air conditioned (but not freezing!) rooms, and a varied breakfast (included). Wifi was spotty. The hotel is not in the old part of town,... Arrived by bus from Taormina and it was roughly an easy 10 min walk to the hotel carrying bags. Very nice hotel with very comfortable room, bathroom and balcony. Traffic can be a little noisy but if you close your balcony door or window you don't hear it. Best breakfast in our 6 accommodations in Sicily with the largest selection... More

Was suggested this hotel from some friends who were getting married in Ortygia. First off....location was great, just as it's described. It was a 5 min walk from the Interbus stop from the Airport in Catania, but also only about 3mins walk from the bridges to enter Ortygia. As we stayed here we realised that the location was appropriate enough... More

I really liked this hotel, nice grand 19th century (my guess) building which has been completely refurbished with style. We had a very smart suite on the first floor, perhaps 5 meters high, with doors onto a small balcony overlooking the side street on which the hotel is located: there are relatively busy roads either side, but they do not... The hotel does not look up to standard from the outside, but is nice, modern and well equipped inside. The staff is helpful and very friendly. The hotel is very well situated, at a five minutes walk from the historic centre, Ortigia. The price of the rooms is very competitive. Great value for the money.

This was our nicest and only 4* hotel on a recent visit to Sicily. For 62.50Euro a night - double,it was a steal. Room was large and had a fridge and flat screen TV. Small balcony with wooden shutters.Good sizes bathroom/shower. Front desk staff all spoke English and very very polite and helpful.Easy to get ice. Hotel has an indoor... More

We spent two nights here while visiting Syracuse. Our generous-sized room #110 faced the street, which could get noisy in morning and afternoon traffic. The entrance had a single bed which we used as a luggage rack. The main bedroom had a double bed, desk with chair, separate chair with round table, and two bed tables with good lights. There... This hotel is very well positioned for a stay in Syracuse. Its a 10 minute walk from the station (bus & train) and Ortegia, the photogenic part of the town, is 5 minutes in the other direction. As this building was once a grand home it has large shuttered windows and high ceilings. However the rooms have been reburbished to... More

What a wonderful four stat hotel and very nice staff. Every hotel should be run so smoothly, a pleasant surprise. Very large room with balcony and great price. You can't go wrong here. Breakfast is plentiful as well. Easy walk to nearby resturants. Hotel is a short walk from train and bus station.
