This was our nicest and only 4* hotel on a recent visit to Sicily. For 62.50Euro a night - double,it was a steal. Room was large and had a fridge and flat screen TV. Small balcony with wooden shutters.Good sizes bathroom/shower. Front desk staff all spoke English and very very polite and helpful.Easy to get ice. Hotel has an indoor... More

We spent two nights here while visiting Syracuse. Our generous-sized room #110 faced the street, which could get noisy in morning and afternoon traffic. The entrance had a single bed which we used as a luggage rack. The main bedroom had a double bed, desk with chair, separate chair with round table, and two bed tables with good lights. There... This hotel is very well positioned for a stay in Syracuse. Its a 10 minute walk from the station (bus & train) and Ortegia, the photogenic part of the town, is 5 minutes in the other direction. As this building was once a grand home it has large shuttered windows and high ceilings. However the rooms have been reburbished to... More

What a wonderful four stat hotel and very nice staff. Every hotel should be run so smoothly, a pleasant surprise. Very large room with balcony and great price. You can't go wrong here. Breakfast is plentiful as well. Easy walk to nearby resturants. Hotel is a short walk from train and bus station.

Had a pleasant experience staying at Grande Albergo Alfeo. Arrived with the car, thinking there was a car park nearby. The reception was kind enough to let me know where to park (on the street). The hotel needs some refurb (including the room) but overall was not in bad condition. The reception was fine, the elevator could look a bit... More

We had a very good stay. The hotel is very fine in a very nice building with excellent rooms. The reception was excellent. The price was very, very fair. It's a really first class place. But I would avoid the restaurant, food was okay but prices were too high compared to the area. The breakfast was okay, but the chef... More

This hotel does not have a 4* feel or appearance. The reception areas are in need of refurbishment. Communal areas feel very dingy and depressing. The restaurant did not have an inviting appearance at all so we even skipped breakfast, preferring to go to one of the numerous little pasticcerias nearby. The room however was clean with lovely crisp white... More

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, in Sicily I have found that finding a really good bed is a challenge and this one surpassed my expectations. The rooms are large, renovated and comfortable. Everything works, TV, Shower, Air Conditioning, refrigerator and the Wifi as well. It is a 5 minute walk from the old city Ortiga Island, but I... More

The hotel was almost perfect. Great location, very friendly and competent stuff. Breakfast was totally not Italian. A lot of vegetables, fresh fruits etc. The room where we stayed 302 had a nice small patio on the roof which was fantastic. The only thing what should be improved by the hotel is the smell in the room after arriving and... More
