We just returned from a week's stay at this resort in Sicily - just a few minutes walk from the Syracusa island of Ortigia. This boutique resort had everything including it's own private beach, wonderful food, and most of all delightful management and staff. As others have penned here, the mix of amazing ancient history, mixed with the bustle of... More

We booked at the very last minute and didn't do a lot of research prior to arriving...so very little expectations. What we found was exactly what we were looking for...a mix of ancient city, authentic surroundings, magnificent food and people. Now to the resort, it is a small paradise, private beach, private restaurant and staff who understand the word "service"...nothing... More

Entering the hotel feels like entering a peaceful, secluded oasis from the busy and grimy streets of Siracusa. It is set directly on the water, and I understand it to be one of only a few hotels in Siracusa that has its own beach. Beautiful beach, beautiful view, calm, clear water. The sand area was cleaned regularly. We found our... More

The Musciara Resort is a very special oasis in southeastern Sicily. The fashionable, high quality facilities feature comfortable rooms, a lovely seaside dining area and a stunning little beach. Musciara is a ten minute walk to Ortigia, twenty minutes to the Greek Theater and fifteen minutes to the bus to take you to Noto and beyond. Forget a car and... More

First, the beach area is perfect. It is a private, locked off beach that is like being in a separated world. Large, padded sunbeds with large wooden parasols and towels ready folded on them. Large, white cotton sofas ready to lie on and read in the shade. Constant attendance of staff to being you drinks and delicious food. This area... More

Musciara Resort was the second and last Sicilian destination in the Sicily part of our honeymoon. We arrived around lunchtime from Giardini Naxos and after very quickly checking in, went straight on the terrace - right on the seafront and had some delicious, proper Sicilian lunch. Overlooking the sea and seeing Ortigia in the distance this was very romantic and... More

After having read good reviews we were afraid of getting disappointed, but we were definitely not! Our 6 days were wonderful, looked after by friendly and competent staff we enjoyed excellent food, good service and a lovely beach. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Ortygia, and the neighbourhood is of a completely different standard compared to the hotel,... More

We've spent a marvellous week in Musciara Resost. The best place to reload, to get totally relaxed, to refresh all your feelings. What we've liked most about this place - was its location. The hotel is right at the edge of the sea. We've never lived much closer. It was so good to listen to the whisper of the waves... More

The Musciara 'Resort' was 1/3 of our Sicilian honeymoon and it ruined our otherwise happy experience. This is more like a youth hostel that charges 5 star prices. An utter rip off. A very unfriendly vibe. We couldn't wait to leave. Unfortunately we had paid in advance and we had to stay the full 3 nights :( But the worst... More

I couldn't agree more with Ronan1ireland's review. The hotel and the amenities are great. This is a lovely boutique hotel in Syracuse. Having your own private beach and being able to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner by the water's edge is magical. But certain things did let it down slightly. The food was very good but over priced for what... More
