My wife and I stayed six nights at the Royal Maniace and found it a great base from which to explore Ortygia. As previously noted by other reviewers, it is within easy walking distance of the major sites, not to mention some terrific restaurants. I would definitely recommend paying a little extra for a room with a view of the... More

Super little hotel in a terrific position a stone throw from all the major attractions. Four of us stayed between the 29th of April - 2nd of May. The hotel has recently been refurbished. It is very clean throughout. We were given a free upgrade to a sea view room offering lovely views along the coastline. I give this little... More

We stayed here for two nights in April. A brilliant location on the eastern side of ortigia, with a perfect view of the sunrise in the morning. We had paid for a deluxe room with a sea view and balcony and were right above reception. Sound proofing in the rooms could be improved as we had some very noisy kids... More

stayed here in March. A little chilly. Can't blame the hotel. Curious about prior complaints. Here is what I found: the toilets are not loud, they are ideal. The breakfast was excellent- best in Italy so far. Newly renovated- looks perfect and beautiful. Front desk staff: professional, helpful, pleasant. Was smart enough not to attempt to drive to hotel. Leave... More

The hotel is located in Ortygia, a charming area with many bars and restaurants. Our room was huge with a view on the sea. It was very clean, it has wifi in the room. The staff was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast !

A good location in Ortiga, right on the water front. Within easy walking distance of all bars restaurants etc. Hotel was very clean and being redecorated.. Friendly staff. Breakfast was okay, ran out of food quickly but a good selection of cakes. Room was on the small side, but with a delightful balcony with sea view.

I was really very happy staying at this small nice hotel on the waterfront. Very quiet, close to all the places which should be visited. I also enjoyed eating at the nearby restaurants. The breakfast was also very good. The rooms and the bathroom are very nicely decorated and big, a balcony with a very beautiful view, and a nice... More

Staff was very helpful and the location is overlooking the sea. Wifi in lobby was good but in the rooms was on and off in terms of strength. Located within walking distance of many resturaunts and sites (but that is true of most of this part of Siracusa.

Overall this is a nice hotel in a quiet location right on the seafront. Ortygia is very small so easy to get around to bars, restaurant s and sightseeing locations on foot. Everywhere is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine, if a little over reliant on ricotta and chocolate - and there was really no excuse for not having freshly... More

The location is astounding and if you pay for a room with a sea view you're in for a lovely vista. The hotel itself is very old and in need of some repair. The staff (mostly) needs some customer service training. When we arrived we were literally tossed a key. No explanation of how the hotel works. No offer to... More
