Staying at this B&B was like visiting a friend or a relative. Claudio is an amazing host! Very kind, interesting, hospitable and helpful. The room has a beautiful interior and TWO balconies, from which you can observe a life of local folk. It is located in one of the old houses in the old town. I loved to stay in... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this wonderful B&B in April of 2015, and we haven't stopped talking about how incredible it was! Not only was it clean, close to EVERYTHING, and easily accessible, the owner, Claudio, provided invaluable information and an incredible experience. From fresh and delicious breakfast daily, to maps and suggestions, to walking tours of the city,... More

Iam having my 30th Birthday this week and I just came back from Sicily. This was the best Birthday Present ever. I cannot describe in... More

My friend and I stayed in this great little place in early July. This place has it all: big, clean, airy bright rooms, modern bathrooms, reliable hot waters, comfy beds, healthy and voluminous breakfasts (freshly baked bread and croissants every day!) etc. Location is super central - in the old town and a short walking distance to all the sites,... First impression: Squeaky clean. and the impression lasts! the place is full of serenity, the rooms are wide and luminous, and very well maintained. This is just a small reflection of the owner's persona in this B&B. Claudio is a reflection of sicilian hospitality and generosity. A place I will definitely come back to. Indeed, a second home in Palermo.

My boyfriend and I stayed at B&B alla Vucciria in June/July of 2013. Our stay was one for the books! B&B alla Vucciria is located right in the heart of old Palermo, tucked away in a square/piazza next to Piazza Garefello (granted it was a little difficult to find - but it all added to the experience!) The host, Claudio,... More

Great stay here. Right in the middle of the famous Vucciria neighborhood, with its raw charm. Clean room, good breakfast. But the real selling point is the host, Claudio, who goes out of his way to make you feel at home in Palermo. Very welcoming, helpful, relaxed and he clearly enjoys having guests around. He'll give you some good tips... More

Tired and hungry after 20 hours of plane ride and transit time, we were desperate to look for a place to stay for the night. We were drawn by the crowd at Vucciria market and so we asked around to see if anyone knows of any B&B around. We asked the owner of a restaurant and he guided us here.... More

My roommate and I were traveling after a semester abroad in Geneva. Having to travel rather abruptly after our studies ended we did not really get a chance to research our destinations thoroughly. Arriving in Sicily was quite an experience. The places we had been to prior to Palermo tailored to a particular audience aka mainstream tourism. This is not... More

Being a woman and travelling alone is not always easy. Italy in general and Sicily in particular are well-known by not being the most open-minded or liberal tourist destinations around Europe. Yet, the surprise of my last minute booking at La Vucchiria could not be any better. Affordable price for a single ( and quiet, not noisy at all!) ensuite... More
