J spent a night in what seemed to be a cozy warm hotel and J found myself on a different place, without previous warning. A room in Via Alloro, totally cut out from the courtyard, if any. No private parking place. Poor breakfast. Should cost half the price they ask, but the bed is comfy. more

We hoped for a cozy B&B in our trip to Palermo, and this one was clearly a mistake. The biggest complaint was the intolerable noise coming from upstairs which could happen anytime from early morning. First kids running and shouting around, then chairs moving like in a party and lastly, kind neighbors exercising their singing skills. And if that was... more

The facts told by the author, named “Arkaini”, in the review are totally unfounded or referred to another B & B visited by him. In fact our rooms lead into a private courtyard closed to outsiders where you cannot hear noises or cars or "motorini" or children. In September, due to bad weather that hit Sicily, we had very few...

My family and I spent Christmas in Palermo at this Bed and Breakfast. It could not have been any cozier. We felt right at home. The colors of the rooms and the coziness of the whole place was amazing! more

A very warm B&B, nice room, very comfortable accomodation. Excelent location in the center of Palermo, close to monuments, restaurants and shops. The owners are very friendly and kind. They helped me in every need I had. I recommend al Giardino dell'Alloro even for long staying. more

I found this B&B while wandering around Palermo and booked it for my last night in the city. It's down a quiet cobbled street, and next door to a walled garden area. The rooms are on the ground floor and arranged around a pretty internal courtyard which has tables and chairs. There is a separate dining / sitting room where... more

I stayed here for 7 nights and I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful my experience here was. I was searching for my Sicilian roots in Palermo and the owners were instrumental in helping locate and communicate with the relatives I found. I stayed in two different rooms there and both were very nice. Everything has been recently restored... more

My husband and I stayed at Al Giardino dell'Alloro for 3 nights, and were given a lovely room just at the top of the stairs. It was very spacious, with more room than we needed: 2 large bedrooms and a small terrace (that wasn't especially charming and we didn't use, as it was surrounded on 4 sides by walls). The... more

Lovely rooms, spotless, with good artworks making them very interesting. Not much communication with guests however so we missed breakfast twice as didn't know end times (10:30 on Sun, 9:30 otherwise!). The breakfast when we did get it was rather poor too: dry toast and jam, with yoghurt and a coffee. However, the lovely Donatella was eager to make amends... more

We had a lovely stay at Al Giardino dell'Alloro in Nov,2006. The room was very comfortable and furnished very nicely. It was adorned with some lovely art. The bathroom was large, with some nice amenities, and the place was spotless. I can't emphasize enough the cleanliness of the place. The breakfast was good but the best was the friendliness and... more
