After all the good reviews we were a little disappointed to find that although our room was modern and well mainained, it was also small and basically not a place where you would want to spend much time. Stayed one night. This is good hotel with nice comfortable rooms in a secure part of town. There are many restaurants in the area and it is near tourist sites. The single rooms are very well designed. The many built ins make the room functional and feel more spacious. The decor is bright, cheerful and modern. We loved the Plaza Opera Hotel. Our original reservation was with the Ai Cavalieri Hotel in Palermo, but they mixed up the original reservation and transferred us to the the Opera.
