Background: We stayed for two nights on a tour of Sicily (Gate 1). The tour company selected the hotel. Location: The hotel is centrally located near the port. opera house and main shopping area. Using the Prestia e Comande airport bus, we were able to walk from the Politeama stop fairly easily with our luggage. Reservations/Front Desk: The desk staff... More

Mercure Palermo Centro was a very pleasant surprise. Staff very friendly and helpful. Modern hotel, with good wifi in public areas and rooms. Silent rooms, carpeted corridors and rooms, double paned windows, very modern bathroom appliances. Very good and complete buffet breakfast. Very well situated, near the old part of Palermo and a few blocks away from where you can... More

13 - 18 May 2015 From airport, bus costs 6.5 euros, but mention to driver that you want 'Via Marino Stabile'! Going back to airport, we realised that it's easier to get the bus down the road to the central station and take the train straight there. Hotel well situated along via Roma and lots of buses up and down.... More

We stayed in Mercure Palermo centro for a week. The staff were very extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is quite centrally located with most of the sights of Plaermo within walking distance. The onsite restaurant is quite good. The breakfast buffett was good but the only comment would be that it did lack variety. We also had a problem... More

We chose this hotel for convenience and we weren't disappointed. The Hotel was clean, modern within walking distance of Politeama and numerous Restaurants. The staff was helpful and responsive. Buffet breakfast was included in the rate, it provided plenty of choices to select from (i.e., cereals, yogurt, fruits, ham, cheese, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, breads, marmalade(s), nutella, juices, coffee, tea... Convenient hotel just outside the old city of Palermo. Rooms are nice and clean, bathroom containing douche, hairdryer and foot wash. Breakfast was more the continental like: both sweet, cornflakes, bread, egg, fruits and so on. Staff was friendly and check-in proceeded swiftly. As Wi-Fi was a bit clumsy to access and shower frequently had temperature changes only three star... More

We stayed for one night after arriving late evening at Punta Raisa airport and picking up a hire car. We eventually found the hotel (Palermo traffic and a failing SatNav didn't help). On arrival we were warmly welcomed despite the late hour and were able to use the secure parking adjacent to the hotel. The room was comfortable with a... More

As a gold member I booked the property for 2 adults, I decided to bring a a 10 year old, a 9 year old and a 10-months baby with us. One Kid was anyways included yet I was charged 50 for the extra 2 children. Usually I am charged 10 per kid and sometimes nothing at all considering my status.... More

Dear Mr Roberto, as a gold member, I think you spent a lot of your time in hotel. You have booked a double standard room and the day of arrival, you bring with you 3 children: what you would expect? From a double room we had to find a superior room for 4 + 1 cot in a fully booked... More

We were two nights in the hotel, which has a good location and the room is clean but when we did the check out they increase the prize of the parking from 8€/night to 20€/night with the only explanation that is the prize and we did not understand them, which I don't believe because all of us understood the same.... Not exactly great looking from the outside. But considering all the other hotels in the city center, this was a good choice by our Gate 1 tour. The rooms were clean but plain. The public spaces: breakfast area, lobby, and bar were great. Breakfast was good and there were a choice of good restaurants in the area. We had 3... More
