The Mercure Palermo Centro has a good location near the plazza Politeama, where there is s bus station to any place. Rooms are modern and comfortable, with a big balcony. Internet WoFi is free and super FAST. Breakfast is buffet and very complete. Staff speaks english, which is not found in every place in Italy. I have nothing to complain.

Modern hotel near the center with spacious room. Nice breakfast with large variety, especially a lot of sweets (even cannoli). Fast internet (although not secured, which is not recommended). Nearby parking is arranged by the hotel and costs 14 euro per night (you have to give keys for the car something that is normal in Italy)

Needed to book an extra night at the last minute. They charged 3 times the normal rate---even though we were joining a tour and staying additional nights. At 9:15 pm they claimed it was the "last room" and they were not going to budge on the rate. After 3 desk clerks rudely talked in Italian about and around us we... More

Dear Mr. Alan I'm really sorry that you think you've got a rip off. Our official rates are published on our web site mercure.com and the receptionist adhere to what is published, without inventing rates at the time. It 'true that the last room available is sometimes sold at very high rates, but it is also true that booking in... More

The receiption is very friendly. The hotel has no own parking, but is very helpful arranging it (costs €14/day). The hotel is not very cheap but is worth it. The rooms are nice, some have huge balconys (ask for it). The rooms are clean, the TV ok with adequate number of programmes. The breakfast is acceptable, as in most Italians... More

We went on holiday in July 2014. The hotel is really good compared to others, free wifi, staff friendly and rooms are clean and modern, breakfast is good and diverse. Hotel is close to town center only 10 min walk. If i would ever go back to Palermo I would chose this hotel for my stay.

Very clean, very modern. Price suited the quality. Efficient cleaning and the minibar prices were excellent but not restocked to how i asked. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice but could be awkward when busy as some would queue and others wpuld attempt to barge through but the staff managed it pretty well The bar was awful and over... Positive: great location, modern decor, helpful staff, great cannoli, toiletries provides Negative: ridiculously expensive parking, unusable wifi: unavailable in your room and even if you sign in it loses your connection if not used for more than 5 minutes, the password is extremely long and annoying, the elevator is old and tiny, frankly i was scared to get in, the... We stayed there several days and over all a very nice experience/. The staff was very helpful and went out of there way to accommodate our needs. Food was excellent and the rooms were clean and modern. Area was very congested as was most of Palermo.

We booked online through Expedia. There was choice of standard double room or two single bed room. We obviously chose the double room. Once we arrived, we had to wait 30 minutes at the reception for the woman to "figure things out" from the reservation When we were finally handed a key card, we went up to our room, and... More
