A perfect location for our 3 night stay upon arriving in Sicily. It is located around the corner from the main stop of the on-off bus which we took full advantage of. The staff was very helpful in assisting us with travel arrangements to the islands. The room was adequate considering the price (under 100E). Breakfast was fine and we... More

This hotel was very good value for money, we stayed here as the original hotel we were to stay in was a shabby mess (see review Casa Giuddita). The hotel was clean and plenty of hot water, the breakfast was ok, more than 1 cup of tea would have been nice... The street noise was very loud but if you... More

It was a really unpleasant experience in almost every respect. The double bed in room number 34 was actually two beds that had been put next to each other. The beds did not have a hard base and were glorified camp beds with spring bases. Sleeping on the was agonising and we had take the mattresses of the beds and... More

- Everything was worn out and malfunctioning: the TV, the air condition remote, the matress, the windows. Very noisy in the morning (banging doors) from the cleaning ladies. + The location was perfect! In the heart of Palermo. Good wifi.

Good location but in need of painting etc. Receptionist is unhelpful and couldn't be bothered to show us our rooms. Just gave us the keys and said on the next floor. Breakfast is restricted but OK. Only one cup of tea or coffee allowed!! No fruit or cereal. The air conditioning is turned off at 7.45am and doesn't come back... More

This little hotel in a building in Palermo centre is maybe not refurbished newly, but it has a good quality/price ratio, simple but acceptable breakfast and – most of all – a perfect position to walk all Palermo city centre. Recommended for a weekend in the downtown. [original language of this review: EN]

I was in Palermo one day and didn't want to go back to Villagrazia di Carini, it was late so I found the Hotel Moderno, it was centrally located so stayed there, I found to be very cozy, I would have liked to stay longer though, I loved the neighborhood, The staff was great and a low price, what else... We chose this hotel based on the description, big mistake. It was not at all what we expected. It is centrally based in Palermo and good for walking about.. Avoid driving its mayhem!!.. We were told there was parking there is jot only main road parking with everyone else if you can find a space if you want to park... More

Stayed one night whilst in Palermo before flying back to UK at the end of our stay. The hotel was clean, and situated along Via Roma which is very central and is just a ten minute walk from Train station, airport pick up bus and close by to all attractions. Situated on the third floor with a front street security... More

I mean we all had are own but still amenities are a priority. t.v. was at a exceptional standard. great choice. no idea what was going on. a lot... More
