The hotel has an exellent location, near wonderfull shops and bars. It is also close to the museums and churches. The hotel is a bit old. They should be very carefull when choosing the personel at the reseption desk... the worst treat we had ever had! It's a petty, because the hotel is good in deed. more

Our room on the 4th floor overlooked the main square and was very noisy and despite control panel on the wall, there was no air conditioning. Very spacious and clean but the decor was lugubrious to say the least. more

It had an excelent location. We were given a room overlooking a dark alley, but it was silent. Very nice and clean. Just on the edge of Quattro Canti, one of the most popular and safest places in the city. more

Excellent location, safe, lots of shops and cafes and very handy for all the sights,. The airport bus stops right outside. City buses to everywhere are just a a few seconds walk away. We stayed here over Christmas, 2004. The hotel is located on the border between the old and new sections of town, and is therefore convenient to both. I stayed at the Politeama on a vacation to Sicily and truly enjoyed our stay. The rooms weres clean, spatious with nice large windows which overlooked the busy city. Breakfast was always superb in the restaurant which was also a real perk. The elevators were small, but it was part of this hotels old world charm. I would recommend this... more
