Second time we have stayed at the Politeama and enjoyed both stays. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room we had on the seventh floor was not huge but clean with good views. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety to suit all tastes. We did not book the hotel but negotiated a cheaper price in... More

Positive: Great location, helpful and polite stuff, sufficient breakfast Negative: heterogeneous rooms ( small, spacious in same category ) , We changed rooms twice because smelling bad and finally gave us suite room whithout additional charge ! rooms definitely need renovation, furthermore the rooms overlooking the square suffer from street noise

One of the best locations in Palermo, friendly staff and good breakfast. The rooms are good enough for a short stay, in need of renovation and updating. Noticed the rooms are a bit dark as if more and stronger lights are needed. Did not like the pillows, too soft but that might be just me. Given the central location we... More

I have travelled to Palermo over the xmas break and stayed at the Politeama Palace Hotel. The location is great as it is walking distance from the city centre as well as all attraction. The hotel definitely has a retro touch, the rooms are likewise very retro. We were on the 4th floor in a room overlooking the main square.... More

Sitting as it does on the side of one of the major squares in palermo with all of the busy shopping streets radiating away from the square we expected great things But the actual hotel did not come up to expectations, the room was very small and the bathroom was the smallest we have ever been in, you had to... The guy on check in really couldn't be bothered and displayed the same indifference when approached during our stay. Internet connection was hit and miss with more 'miss' than 'hit'. Rooms facing the square are very noisy and without working air conditioning the choice was either to have the windows closed and not sleep or have them open and not... More

My room was of a good size and also the hotel's location is great. But the rooms facing the square are very noisy. Also everything in the hotel is outdated and sometimes doesn't work properly. Generally the mood of the hotel is a little bit depressing since there isn't enough lightening at the premises.

Stayed here for one night as part of a tour group. I really didn't get to use or see much of the hotel as I was checked in and out within 14 hours. However the impression from brief stay was that the hotel lobby and room was a little "retro" but yet still quite clean and comfortable to stay in.... More

I have a few pros and cons about this hotel. But let's start with the pros. We didn't have a hotel to stay in, it was only one night. They were extremely nice to us and gave us a room. We also had to leave at 6:00 am the following morning to catch our flight so they also booked a... More

Stayed here two nights as apart of an Explore package group. Ideal city center location. Male reception staff not helpful. It costs nothing to smile and make eye contact. We tourists are the reason these managers, supervisors have a job. The more junior female staff member at the reception was more pleasant. We asked for a double bedroom and ended... More
