The accommodation I had reserved did not work out so as I was roaming the streets near the train station looking for a hotel, I passed this very simple sign on a side street and decided to check it out. I rang the buzzer and came up to the fifth floor in one of those cool European elevators. The woman... More

The accommodation was very old fashioned but close to the termini. There is not much to do around the neighbourhood. Rooms were spacious and bathrooms were an interesting set up as toilet paper has to go into a separate bin.

We stayed at Albergo Cavour for 2 nights as a base to explore Palermo on our first and last night of our holiday in Sicily. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the main bus/train station so was really easy to find and is on a quieter side street away from the main traffic/noise. It's in a lovely... More

We stayed here overnight since it was close to the train station. We were told not to flush toilet paper down the toilet and to instead put it in a bin which made the bathroom smell. The beds were uncomfortable because the mattresses were worn out and needed replacing. This hotel is on the top floor of a 5 floor... More

Stayed at Albergo Cavour for four nights between Christmas and New Years 2013 after having reserved for two. That's how much I loved it. It's a wonderful little hostel. Inexpensive, family-owned and operated, impeccably clean, completely safe, recently remodeled, well-located, atmospheric. It's not fancy, but it's great for budget travelers searching for a sense of old Sicily. The marble floors... More

I happened upon this hotel when walking from the train station, heavy suitcase in tow. After the innkeeper opened the door to the room I was stunned by its size and the extravagant ceiling. I then felt quite embarrassed after I asked to see the room before I agreed to take it. After I checked into the hotel I laid... More

It is a plus that the hotel is so close to the railwaystation and buses when dragging on a heavy suitcase. But suggest to not walk but take a taxi from the restaurant/bar-area to the hoteldoor, during late night-time if you are female(s). High quality hotel with a really great view from the fifth floor room-terrace, spacious rooms with a... More

I stayed in Albergo Cavour for 2 nights. It was a nice cute family owned hotel, rooms are spacious, so does the bathroom. well decorated. very nice view from the balcony. very good price for its value. 2 mins walk to the train station. 15-20 mins walk to the city center, which is quite convenient. The owner doesn't speak much... More

It's hard to find too much fault with Albergo Cavour. The rooms were spacious and clean; and it is in a very good location. There was nothing particularly wrong with the service as it was perfectly adequate. It just wasn't quite as warm as some of the other b&bs I've been to. Nevertheless would still recommend.

This family run pension is located few steps from the central station (trains and buses), one block from the main street Via Roma. Accomodation is at the top floors of a 6 level building, very safe as you only guests are allowed in. Apparently all staff is the family only. Our room was spacious and with a wide panorama as...
