The Di Napoli sisters run a very nice hotel. All their staff are helpful and courteous. They are willing to help you with directions and attraction-tickets (theatre etc) in Palermo. I believe that many of the negative reviews are based more on a dislike of Sicily than this hotel in particular. The location of this hotel is central, gritty, and... More

The hotel rooms are a little bit overdecorated, but good equipped and large, with bathroom and toilet. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, reception runs 24/7 and hotel is located near the central railway station, so its a good choice for short stopover after the arrival in the night.

Very weird hotel, placed on the second floor in a huge old building. It is located in what looks like the Arab neighborhood in Palermo, so it is not the most welcoming part of the city and about 15-20minutes walk from the city center. The rooms were spacious and acceptable, good sleeping quality. The breakfast was worse than bad, so... More

The hotel is well run and staff are super friendly and helpful. The decor is out of control. Its very tasteful and of a very specific ilk. Rooms are comfortable and have AC and heater. The whole place is spotlessly clean and it's in a great central location...very easy to find from central station, where the bus drops off from... More

I really liked the decor of the hotel, it was so beautiful and different from other hotels where I have stayed. The staff was proffessional and friendly. We spent one night in a different city and when we got back the next day, the receptionist said, that he already got worried that maybe something had happened to us. So they're... More

Located near to the central train station (half a dozen blocks) this middle-range guest house is perched on the second floor of a period building - no elevator so be prepared for a climb. Check-in was professional, given my faltering attempts at Italian, by a seemingly multi-lingual receptionist...The communal areas were all well presented and the place was somehow just... More

A 10 minute walk from the bus stop.......the stairs...are a bit of a shock if you did not know about them, but we did. Amazing decor, loved it....the bedrooms were nice and clean. We were there on Good Friday which was absolutely amazing, watching the Funeral of Christ ..well about 10 of them going around the Town. Not to be... More

Nice hotel, very central, although central in Palermo is not necessarily clean and safe. The area itself is not the best, maybe, but indeed you can walk to the main city attractions in few minutes from the hotel. The hotel itself is very clean and nice, with very nice fornitures. The only minus is the breakfast, very limited, with only... More

Hotel Alessandra is at the right place in Palermo. You can find many of the must see and do's in the surrounding of the hotel. Breakfast is simple and even one day we did not have any bread for breakfast. But our room was spacious and very clean. But we were the lucky ones who got the largest room. Staff... More

We liked: * Location * Tasteful interior and architecture * Value * Friendly staff We didn't like: * Not suitable for older people. * Bathroom can be a problem for some. Awkward bathtub. * Long flight of stairs. Avoid heavy luggage. * Unhealthy breakfast. How about some simple local produce (cheese, ham, seasonal fruit etc), instead these crap sweets? *... More
