We chose this B&B because it was in walking distance to the railway station. We arrived in the evening. We booked through hotels.com however on arrival our booking could not be found. At the end everything worked out however the welcome wasn't a pleasant experience.

We stayed for 2 nights at the start of a Sicily trip, arriving on 28th August. The building is extraordinary and the hotel itself is set within a former palace, occupying part of the second floor. You enter for the first time by way of the large street entrance door and thereafter walk through a big courtyard (with obligatory cats... More

This beautiful old hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the bus and train station, a beautiful courtyard and grand marble staircases await you when you walk through the enormous wooden entrance door. We stayed in two different rooms, the biggest room with a massive balcony and en-suite bathroom, and a smaller but just as beautifully decorated room... More

Very good location, nice people, clean room and quiet. Look forward to come back! It is not recommended to get on street after eleven, but it was perfectly ok too. It looks a bit scary, but an army and police is driving around the neighborhood all the time.

I've been here maybe three times now, and this hotel is as good as ever - great location near the train station and not far from the centre, good fairly basic rooms in a historic palazzo with aircon, telly, nice dark-wood furniture, high ceilings, sympathetic colours on the walls. We didn't have time for breakfast but I sneaked a peak... More

An atmospheric place to stay and decent value in Palermo at around e30 single, e40 double. Right in the middle of the "centro storico": close to the station and Quattro Canti. There is inevitably ambient street noise - take earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Or stay in the new town. You enter through the ancient communal wooden doors off... More

Very old building but very well kept and cleaned by the 2 brothers. We're in room 8 and Benito Mussolini actually slept in room 7. B'fast room ceiling is a master piece.Furniture reflects period.Fantastic location. Markets around the corner.

We stayed here two nights. Arrived just before midnight and is nice and close to station. Building has character, but entrance way is unappealing - full of stray cats, garbage and cars. Dodgy location but secure. Rooms basic but are not serviced during your stay. Wouldn't stay again.

Whilst holidaying in Sicily we stayed in Palermo for a couple of days to see the sites and go to the opera at the Teatre Massimo. This hotel looks nothing from the outside, however it was wonderful once through the court yard and up the stairs. We usually go with family run properties as they generally provide that personal touch.... More

Rooms are small, but large enough and clean Service is minimal, but available if you can exaggerate your hand gestures Building is old school, but full of history and is a great reminder of how the nobles lived Breakfast is continental, but filling Location is dodgy, but right next to the train station Price is low, and appropriate All in...
