The hotel is located one street back from Via Roma and benefits from its quieter location. Other central hotels are not quite so lucky facing onto the heaving Palermo traffic. One piece of advice: don't bother hiring a car. It can be madness! The Hotel Posta is a great little oice. A small hotel and spotlessly clean throughout, the rooms... more

The hotel is very centrical, and this is basically the only good thing about this hotel. Several reasons support this judgement: - Rooms have been renovated (this is not the case of the corridors..), but the furniture is very basic. We barely used the wardrobe because the doors didn't slide at all. Also, electrical light was so poor, that in... more

Hotel Posta is a short taxi ride from the train station and well located in the heart of Palermo. The hotel staff is very friendly and receptive to answering all of our questions. The rooms are nice with sufficient room. Although the entrance is from a narrow street fifty feet from the main street is well marked and not difficult... more

The Hotel is easy to find and about 10 minutes walk from the Teatro Politeama where the airport bus drops off. It's pretty much what you expect for a European city centre budget hotel, and that was just fine for us. Our room was very spacious and had good shutters & air con so kept cool. The bed was big... more

The Hotel looked nothing like the picture on the website, but it was still very nice. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. The bed was comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. The hotel was on a side street just off a main road, so it was close to all the hustle and bustle but was... more

About 1km walk from the central railway station and buses and a good base to see Palermo sites. Only 5 minutes walk from the excellent Archeological Museum. The hotel is just behind Via Roma so can be noisy from traffic. However this compensated by good room/bathroom, Twinings tea at breakfast and extra-helpful reception staff. more

It’s always difficult to reach an hotel in the center of an old city. Hotel Posta lies in a very narrow street parallel to the Via Roma (there is a big sign near the immense Post-building to find the hotel). The street is so narrow that it is nearly impossible to stop in front to unload, luckily the reception gives... more

We stayed at the Hotel Posta 3 nights, and had them park our car. Our room, on the north side alley, was clean. While there was some traffic noise, it was quiet at night. The staff was very helpful, and several of them spoke very good English. Rates seemed very competitive for the area (112 euros/night incl breakfast, + 12... more

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Posta for three nights in May, 2006. I would classify this as a good hotel at an affordable price, comfortable though certainly not "luxurious." It's more than adequate as a base for seeing Palermo, close to everything: the Teatro Massimo, the Vucciria market, the best shops, and the Ristorante Sant'Andrea -- probably... more
