We stayed for 4 nights and found the accommodation to be very convenient. The fact there is a market right outside the window seemed a bit of a minus to start with, but it actually was great. They don't start up until later in the morning so there was no noise first thing. It also made for some interesting people... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in July 2014. I had stayed in 2011 for 4 nights and loved the experience so I booked again and was confident we would have the same wonderful time. I was not disappointed. Porta Carini is the ONLY please to stay in Palermo for a mid-range price. The location in my... More

Good location. Near the market, you can always buy fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and of course fish. The apartment was comfortable, good mattress in the master bedroom, a TV with an HDMI output, the kitchen is also fully equipped, i had no problems with cooking Bed linen and towels were changed 2 times a week I think that is enough.... This is a great location for a visit to Palermo. All the main sites in the city are within walking distance. Great situation in the Capo Market where you can get all you need. Accomodation is fine, plenty of room, although shower is a bit small.

All the photos published on the website of that place are real- all facilities are indeed well equiped, rooms are clean. It is indeed a city centre. You can go by foot almost everywhere excluding sandy beach which is a few km out of city. There's a fish and fruit market just by the street on porta carini so you... More

Stayed for four nights in August, in a fantastic location overlooking a bustling food market-self catering is a great way to go in Palermo. Wonderful, friendly, kind owners and staff. Difficult to find, particularly at night when driving in an unfamiliar one-way system. Use reliable sat nav!! Will definitely stay again.

We booked an apartment here after reading good reviews about it online. I can only add to those good reviews as the location is excellent, only a few minutes walk from Teatro Massimo and a bus terminus, where you can get a bus to virtually anywhere. As our flight arrived late in the evening, we opted to be collected by... More

We are a couple from Russia and spent in Casa Porta Carini 3 days. The location of the appartment is great, near to the Capo market, where we could buy fruits and vegetables, also not far from the historical center and the bus station whis is near Teatro Massimo. By bus you can reach the railway station in 7 minutes.... More

We stayed there in January 2012 for a week and found it to be excellent. It is located near Il Capo market and is within walking distance of the centre of Palermo, Teatro Massimo, Palermo Cathedral and many sights. The apartment was clean and well laid out and had wifi. We strongly recommend.
