We loved our stay at the Villa Igiea in Palermo. Since we rented a car, and made some day trips from here, we didn't mind its location, since it is a little far from downton Palermo. But the view, the hotel itself, the marina, and the bar and restaurant terraces made it really worthwhile.

Hotel and rooms are great, but like with many large hotels the service is more a process rather than customer focussed with no effort being made to make that connection. The complimentary shuttle bus to/out of Palero was great and reception offered good advice/maps. Free parking was ideal for touring. The hotel had a historical feel where building and gardens... This is an excellent hotel, positioned away from the hustle and bustle of the city of Palermo. This is a high class hotel. It is really like a little resort; and not all that little. It has extensive gardens, a wonderful swimming pool where you can easily spend a day or two; and an excellent restaurant at night. It is... More

This is an old hotel with high ceilings and old black and white photos on the walls of famous guests who once stayed there. Unfortunately the hotel has not been maintained to a high standard. However, very comfortable rooms and amenities. Great breakfast. Very quiet. Free parking. Bell boys seemed in short supply!

We spend the last two days of our Sicily trip in the Hilton Igea before flying out. We knew from reviews that this place had a stunning terrace/marina view but that the rooms were a bit downtrodden. This was indeed true. I had a booked a King deluxe guest room plus. What we got was a double overlooking the main... More

Dear Guest, First of all thank You for the feedback on Your last stay at the Grand Hotel Villa Igiea. Unfortunately a big part of our rooms are twin and on request we make it a king. We appreciate your positive comments of our breakfast buffet and we hope you will come back to touch our progress to make the... More

We had some Hilton Honors points to spend, so we headed for this hotel. The property is a beautifully restored palace, with the rooms, and all the facilities, grandiose, beginning of 20th century style. Rooms are spacious, with stunning views over the bay of Palermo. The pool, Greek columns and tropical garden are a bliss. The only problem is the... More

Vila Igiea was magnificent! A truly spectacular setting with a staff that cannot do enough for you to make certain that you have the best experience possible. The hotel looks out on the Bay of Palermo into the Meditteranean Sea. True, the pier is just to the right and you see some of the unsightliness of the commercial piers but... More

This is a beautifully positioned hotel overlooking the bay. Breakfast on the terrace with the gardens between you and the still waterswaters is wonderful. The rooms have an old feel and the plumbing is a little suspicious, but overall it is a beautiful place. There is good free parking available, but if you are driving then the hotel is hard... More

Hotel Villa Igiea is located outside Palermo city center, but this is not a big handicap as some TA reviewers suggest. The hotel provides free Shuttle service to/from Palermo city center several times a day. Otherwise, hotel guests can use taxi (about 15 Euros to/from Palermo city center) or city bus number 139 which takes you to Palermo Central Station.... More

The hotel is an attraction of itself. It's a bit away from the centre (free hotel shuttle 6 times a day to P.zza Politeama where city tours start), but in a lovely garden with delighful view of the sea and harbour. Stayed in a guest room plus and it was huge!!! View was of the back courtyard and not much... More
