We stayed at the Centrale Palace for 4 nights in mid June. The room was very clean and equipped with all the latest amenities (TV, Satellite, etc). Nonetheless we were a bit surprised by the fact that the two windows in the room were heavily boarded up (60's style window boards) and that when we managed to slide the boards... more

I traveled with my 88 year old mother and two sisters. We enjoyed the excellent service and accommodations. The rooms have double windows/doors so you can shut out the city noise. The palace is large and a little complicated. It was fun to explore all of the finely decorated sitting rooms and the courtyards. The sitting rooms have stylish antique... more

The building is nice, the breakfast room is a state of the art room, but.... The staff has terrible stainless steel carts and they can't help passing and passing again through the breakfast room with them... The room was big, but naked wall just gave an awfull sensation of emptiness. The view from the small window of my bedroom (a... more

The hotel is very beautiful. The classic suite is nice, but old. the bartender Roberto is a very personable guy, quite a history buff, very good resturant recomendations. Laura at reception is also quite nice. Dont get your laundry done there, it not only was expensive, they did not wash our jeans, only pressed our jeans, and charged for dry cleaning.... more

This hotel is locatel a few steps from the quattro quarti, the heart of old Palermo. It is a beautiful Palazzo, recently renovated, with a lot of "Gattopardo-like" athmosphere. We booked a "neoclassical" room since other reviews seem to indicate they were better, and we weren't disappointed: for a few more euros, they are clearly superior. The room was large,... more

My partner and I had a thoroughly satisfying stay. Conveniently located near the Quattro Canti, the Centrale Palace Hotel provided a warm welcome after a long international flight. The desk staff was friendly, professional, and generally able to communicate in excellent English, or at least understand my broken Italian. They helpfully were able to direct us to local historic sites... more

If you like your sleep, DO NOT go to this hotel. We booked a suite in this hotel for 3 nights and the room was quite nice & spacious, although the shower space was small with no bath. However, we were next to the service lift (as are many other rooms on all the floors of the hotel) and the... more

Great location for the old section. Classic European style 4 star hotel. Very clean, terrazzo floors, typical European rooms. Do not belive hotel website as it romanticized the rooms. Old palace remodeled as hotel. Don't overlook the sun-terrace. Beautiful view from restaurant. Some who traveled with our small tour (14 people) thought it was too highly rated, but service was... more

I chose this hotel because of the garage parking and central location. Its like staying in a noble's house in ' The leopard'. All marble and decorated in period style Everywhere that is to see, other than Monreale , is walking distance and I felt very safe in the town We had a splendid room ( but shower only) with... more

After reading some of the reviews above, I am truly puzzled. We had none of the bad experiences mentioned above. We also walked around extensively after dark, and found the area to be relatively safe, as much as any major city we have visited. We did not have a car, but the hotel was fairly convenient to shopping businesses and... more
