We had a Fantastic 2 night stay at this hotel. Great service, delicious food, and perfect location for wandering the city. The lavish hotel features are aging but in a charming, romantic way. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Don't miss the fantastic bartender, Roberto. xoxo travel trio.

Other reviewers have given this hotel good and not so good reviews. All are correct in their observations so you have to decide what you're looking for to know if this is the place for you. In short, was a bit depressed when we checked in, and fell in love with this place by the time we left. We came... More

I've stayed in this hotel before and only went back because of the location and because I wanted to be able to leave the car in their car park. From both these points of view it is perfect. But as other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel has seen better days. It has too many halls and reception rooms but not... More

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon - they immediately upgraded us to a grande suite when we let them know it was our honeymoon. It is in a great, central location and the staff are very helpful and nice. It is dated but in a charming way and only compliments the Palermo experience. We would stay here again.

Palermo is a city of faded glory and this hotel could not do it greater justice. We were lucky because we had been there before but otherwise you will have difficulty finding it by car. Despite its huge palatial size the hotel has no facade and does not stand out in Corso Vittorio Emmanuele. If you are in a car... More

This is an old aristocratic palace with a tremendous amount of character reflecting its time in history (like most of the Quattro Canti area of Palermo). The front desk was very helpful considering this was the visit stop on our 2 weeks in Sicily and we were constantly in need of assistance. The breakfast was a feast for nominal fee... More

The hotel is long past it's days of grandeur. The staff are not particularly friendly and uniformed flunkies are everywhere expecting a tip. Our window looked straight on to a brick wall about a foot away so felt like a tomb and this wasn't helped by a labyrinth of corridors which had to be negotiated to find the one lift... More

The hotel is lovely. Our rooms and views were breathtaking. The hotel's breakfast was a delicious feast. It even had Gluten Free choices. Thanks to the concierge at the Centrale Palace Hotel who recommended dinning options that were exactly what we were looking for. One night we couldn't find a restaurant and when we called them to confirm the address,... More

Like other reviewers we stayed at The Central Palace Hotel with Colette Tours. The hotel, like the. City of Palermo, was clearly a great place in times past. The past grandeur of the hotel is evident in common areas, but the rooms...not so much! Faded linens, aging furnishings and plumbing in ill repair. The first room we were given had... More

So we totally fell for the 'upgrade to junior suite' line on the first night (beware) and were woken at 0530 by a series of bin men, delivery guys and other raucous types crashing and yelling up and down the alley. What they avoid telling you is that the junior suite has no double glazing and abuts the service lift... More
