Hotel is right in the middle of Palermo so we could get to most of the main sights quickly and easily. Nice to have a balcony and good interconnecting rooms for small children. Breakfast room had a very wide range and breakfast was great with everything from boiled eggs to mandarin granita and build-your-own cannoli. Staff very helpful - highly... More

We stayed here for one night. The hotel has neat and clean rooms and very professional staff. The place has an old world grandeur to it and an excellent roof terrace. The area is busy and congested, so a tad bit noisy if you wish to keep the window open.

Grand old palace that has been converted to hotel. Staff excellent, breakfast excellent, Room average with small bathroom with shower but comfortable. Located at the intersection of the major street is old section of town with many sites within easy walking distance.

The location is excellent, in that it's many of the historical sites are within a couple of blocks. The front desk, basically Victoria who seemed to be always there during our 4 day stay, gets a 5 rating. Breakfast was excellent. The negatives were the very sporadic wifi and the fitness center which had no (or negligible) air conditioning and... More

This was my first trip to Sicily and had heard all of the horror stories about it not being safe. We felt safe from the moment we walked in. This hotel was located close to all attractions, great restaurants and shopping. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The staff was extremely helpful. The breakfast was abundant each morning. I... Old building with a lot of history inside and nearby. Very well located in the center of the town, easy walk around main tourist places. It has parking. Very old traditional building. Staff was specially friendly. Room very confortable.

We were stopped by the police 3 times on the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, as the hotel is in the middle of a pedstranised zone. Also had our licences and insurance checked and taken off us. Eventually a policewoman allowed us through, but we nearly got a parking ticket when unloading our luggage outside the hotel (there is a garage which... More

I think the bureaucrats who decide on UNESCO World Heritage Site locations must be getting desperate. The hotel is smack in the middle of the "Norman-Arab" new World Heritage site, which appears to mean "crumbling buildings of no apparent distinction." Mostly it seems to mean the streets have been shut down so it's difficult to get anywhere. After one navigates... More

We arrived here as a group of 12 people. The location of this hotel was perfect for browsing in the Vucciria Mercato a few blocks away. Since we arrived on a late flight from the US, we elected to have dinner at the rooftop restaurant. Dinner was delicious with an amazing view of Palermo. Afterwards, we walked down one level... We stayed four nights in room 337 last week and fell under the charm of the whole hotel. The reception staff every day at every hour was very helpful : we had a slight problem with the air conditionning and within five minutes, they sent somebody to repair it. Of course, as said in previous reviews, the furniture is worn... More
