I stayed with a friend in this quirky little B and B for two nights towards the end of September this year. The selling point, as far as I am concerned, was the friendliness and helpfulness of the two Alessandros who were in charge. My friend and I arrived in a hired car and, as it's tricky to access the... More

So, we turn up at this 'B & B'. The street is tiny, the entrance almost hidden, but wow what a find. The 2 men in charge were soooo helpful, so attentive and certainly wanted nothing more than to make sure our stay was fabulous. The decor was amazing, you have to go just to see. Breakfast was ok, nothing... More

the guys were very friendly, spoke good English. Taxi service to/from airport seamless. Hotel is in good central location and its decor is very interesting. Good value for money, breakfast great. Recommended.

Not easy to find - but owner Alessandro will give you great instructions, and then come and meet you - but a wonderful (small) boutique hotel/B&B. In an old building that has been beautifully down up ... showing how you can mix ancient, traditional, modern and even a bit funky (e.g., there was an old Lambretta scooter on top of... More

We arrived after spending time at Taormina and Cefalu and wanted a place that was central, good value and a little different and this b&b was all that and more. Even before we had left Cefalu we had a phone call to check what time we'd arrive and how to get there. We were 2 friends so wanted a room... More

I really enjoyed my stay at this welcoming bijou haven. Great proximity to the Orleans Metro stop, Cappella Palatina and the bus stop to Monreale. The room was spacious and well-equipped. I had expected some traffic noise at night, but I didn't notice much at all and slept well. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly, and also helpful with... More

Combine a 500 year old building, some careful restoration and a dozen or so Vespa's and you have this great little hotel hidden down a side-street in Palermo. Our room was decorated with a row of scooters and even had its own kitchen. Staff were attentive and lovely. Breakfast was a hand-made affair and the entrance area of the hotel... More

This place is quirky and not all rooms are alike or equal; one is off the lobby and windowless. Rooms are quiet despite the central location. The location is unbeatable for touring Palermo. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Their restaurant tips were great; they assist you in finding a place to park; etc., etc. They collect all sorts... More

We stayed at Porta di Castro and found a real little gem. If you love very old Vespa scooters or are looking for interesting ways to use them as decorations when you take them apart, then this is the place to stay in Palermo. Alessandro, who speaks excellent English, was more than helpful, coming to find us when our GPS... More

This hotel was a fifteen minute walk from the bus and train station, and located in a small side street. The hotel entrance is very pleasant with a small breakfast room. Our room was located on the third floor, and although we knew there wasn’t a lift, we weren't prepared for the 50 plus steep stone steps we needed to... More
