We spent the last night of our holidy at Il Golfo. It's in Sferracavallo, a fishing village which is obviously popular with Scicillian trippers, a bus ride from central Palermo. There are lots of restaurants there and the day we were there, there was a also a fair. Our room was light and spaciuous and breakfast was lovey. Marta welcomed... More

Great place, nice stay, we would certainly recommend this B&B, everything was perfect there, the welcome received from Marta, the overall service and the wonderful breakfast with fresh croissants and typical Sicilian cannollo which I will never forget!Grazie Marta! F&C

We visited Il Golfo from 27th. of September till 2nd. of October. It is located in a suburb of Palermo called Sferrocavallo, a small fishing harbour at the Gulf of Palermo. There are numerous fish restaurants and pizzerias, many of them of very good quality. During summertime (till the end of September) there are many small terraces looking over the... More

I thank our kind guests for their review, but I'd really like to specify that me and my husband LIVE exactly in our B&b, according to the Italian law that specify that to open such an activity you MUST leave where you work. However, until now b&b owners are not obliged by any law to 24h reception. We're there for... More

I visited Sferracavallo, a quaint seaside suburb of Palermo, with a friend who stayed with his family just a few doors down the street from Il Golfo. Mama Elena recommended I stay there and I am glad I followed her advice. Fabio was a friendly, hospitable, and helpful host. He made me a great breakfast every morning and we had... More

This is truly a fantastic B&B. Marta and Fabio are gracious, helpful and friendly. I simply cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay with them. Every morning we looked forward to our varied breakfast conversations. Our room was very clean with all the necessary amenities. If there was anything we needed, Marta and Fabio were more than happy to... More

The place is at the egde of Palermo, right next to a National Park at the sea. The surrounding is beautiful, the place itself is clean and quiet. My room was quite little, but the furnitures were really intimate, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast is rich. The host couple is friendly and helpful, with good English. I would recommend... During our recent trip to Sicily, my husband and I stayed at six small family-run B&Bs, all of them delightful. Il Golfo was at the top of the list. Good location—easy access to the airport and city of Palermo, without the hassles of staying in a large city. Parking, no problem. Also well located for other day trips. (We went... More

We've been in Il Golfo for 2 nights and then we travelled further. after being in several B&B's this one was the best. Marta and Fabio took good care of us. They were very helpfull with picking out stuff we certainly should see and restaurants we should try; all good advices. Marta e Fabio keep up the good work!

We stayed at Il Golfo for 5 night from the end of May 2010 until June 4, 2010. Over the years we have stayed in quite a number of B&Bs, both in the states and abroad We have never had such wonderfully solicitous hosts. Although Marta and Fabio are both very young, there charm and helpfulness were unsurpassed. They showed... More

I have owned 1825 Inn B&B (Hershey, PA USA) for five years now and have never stayed in a B&B. I went all the way to Palermo, Italy for my first stay. IL Golfo was brand new very clean and warm in the outskirt of town 100m from the Mediterranean Sea. The town is like walking back in time in... More
