I had read that this hotel was very good, but in a rather scary area. Can confirm the former - it is a lovely hotel. we stayed in a superior room and it was a large, beautifully appointed, well furnished room, with very comfortable bed. Breakfast (and dinner), which was taken on the top (fourth) floor of the hotel, with... More

A charming hotel ... with friendly and efficient service. We were amazed at the size of our room (a deluxe double) with equally spacious marble bathroom! We were at the front of the hotel so tended to get a bit of street noise (but not unexpected in Italy) but could shut this out with shutters and air con. The roof... More

We, my husband and my parents - all veteran travelers, enjoyed our 4-night stay here. We liked being in a quiet part of town and there were plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were nice, the staff all friendly, helpful and responsive. Breakfast on the roof was a lovely way to start each day. An Italian friend... More

BEWARE......Booked the Hotel six months prior to departure through our travel agency. I was in contact with the hotel 4 weeks prior to departure to get a tour company recommendation. They responded with a suggestion therefore the concierge had my personal contact information in addition to our travel gent contact information. We departed JFK on Friday mid-afternoon; changed planes in... More

Terrific hotel nice room and good service. However in the old part of town near the port. Not totally safe to walk around. Also way from the sites and central downtown area. The breakfast room on the top floor was nice as was the selection of food for breakfast

We stayed 3 nights at Porta Felice on a first visit to Sicily. The hotel is modern with large, clean and quiet rooms. The location is in the old part of the city and the street outside is a little messy but much of the old city is like that. Breakfast was good and the staff helpful.

Our 7 night stay was nice, we had a large double room on the 3rd floor with a small balcony. There is no sea view from the hotel itself, so you’re looking at mountains, tops of buildings and churches. The balcony could have easy accommodated two chairs and it is unfortunate the hotel doesn’t provide this. The room was clean... More

Firstly, DO NOT GET A TAXI FROM THE AIRPORT TO THIS HOTEL! It cost me 70 Euros! I only did this because I arrived on a late night flight and just wanted to get to the hotel as quickly as possible. There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to Palermo Centrale Station which will cost you 6.30 Euros. Almost... More

This hotel is superior in every way. Beautiful marble interior, incorporating the ancient Palermo stone into the architecture. The room was huge, impeccably and elegantly decorated with wood floors, grand dome ceiling, soothing colors, huge bathroom, marble balcony with great views. Breakfast is delicious, and served on the deck of the top floor with breathtaking views of the mountains of... More
